That moment when he saw me at the isle. His face and expression made me feel amazing. It was the happiest I have ever seen him.
We wanted a traditional wedding with twists to represent our personalities. It was achieved and we both will remember the day for years to come...
Our Honeymoon was at Caley Lodge in the Drakensberg. Truelly breathtaking views. After our week at the Drakensberg we decided to go to Hartenbos via the Transkei. 21 hours drive later we made it. Much laughter and a true adventure.
My look was my personality. Dramatic flair. Tje theme was peacock. My make up was done by Karle Make Up Artistery. Bold and colourful. The most amazing designer. Stanley Baptist created a dress with 3d flowers and feathers. Shoes I altered myself to make them pow on photos. I put on Mr & Mrs Erasmus with our weddimg date. I was a bit naughty and surprised my new hubby by not wearing anything but my dress. I had a feather bouquet that I made myself.
Our wedding ceremony took place at Magic Events Kwaggafontein in Bloemfontein. The weather was so nice we got married on the green lawn under a lovely garden dome. The party was at tje same venue in one of there halls.
We had a gatsby like feel with the decor. Peacock and ostrich feathers with candlebras. Fairylights.
The groom and groomsmen outfits had to portay the peacock (in a way)The groom wore a navy penguin suit that we ordered from thailand. He reaembled the main body of the peacock. Then the groomsmen wore green, purple and light blue socks, ties and "kruisbande".
The bridesmaids chose their own dresses. It was the colours of the theme. 1 had purple. 1 turqoise. 1 light blue. They matched the coulors of the groomsmen.
Anneska from Mudboots Photography did our photos. She was full of ideas and very patient. She takes amazing photos. Or videographer Brian was also very good. And made a lovely dvd. Not just copy and paste. The editing was just as I requested.
My made of honour and I planned and coordinated the entire wedding. With help of good friends. We had so much fun during this time.
I had a beautiful Chevrolet Impala red and white. My hubby also wanted a car and he drove in with a muscle car, a red mustang.
Our food was made by the venue. It was scrumptous. Enough for 3rd helpings.
My moh and I baked the wedding cake ourselves.
One of my friends is a designer so I gave the idea and she worked miracles for me.
