Its hard to pinpoint one part of our day that was more special than another. It really was the best day of our lives so far. But if I truly had to pick it would be walking down that aisle to marry the man of my dreams after dating for 8 years.
Yes, we went to Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve for a week straight after the wedding. This was the same place we got engaged so it will always be very special to us. We are currently planning a 2nd getaway to Thailand for early 2018
My wedding look was very natural, simple yet elegant. I wore a white fitted strapless dress which flared out from under the bum. It had small bits of bling to add a bit of sparkle along with a long floor sweeping veil and diamond earrings. All bought from Bride and Co. My shoes were light pink strappy heels from Cotton On.
My Hair was loosely up styled by the talented Jess @ Hair on 115, who keeps my hair looking its best, always!
Make up was done by Margeaux from Mac, who knows just what works and what doesn't! These 2 ladies were one incredible team on the day!
We got married at SweetHome in Eston, KZN. What an absolutely beautiful venue with the most amazing owners!
Guests were able to stay at a number of accommodations in the area. One of them being SweetHome Lodge, which has beautiful self catering units just up the road from the venue.
Our wedding décor is best described as clean & simple yet elegant with lots of natural elements like wood & greenery.
We were blessed with an amazing venue that offered beautiful handmade wooden tables, white Wimbledon chairs and lots of wooden wine barrels. All our tables had greenery table runners with bits of white flowers, silver lanterns, silver votives and glass jars all filed with white candles. Wooden table numbers and wooden name tags. We had a big wooden welcome sign which sat at the entrance to the chapel and later moved to the venue. We had wooden signs lining the walk ways with sayings in white vinyl. All wooden aspects were handmade by us. An incredible company DoubleD Signage printed all our vinyl for us. A few décor elements were hired from EbyA in PMB.
The groom and groomsmen wore suits hired from Suit Yourself in DBN North in a dark navy blue colour with dusty pink ties and brown belts & shoes. The ties were handmade from material I had chosen.
My bridesmaids wore dark navy infinity dress made by only the best, Kelly @ Studio 96 in DBN North. They also all worn brown leather heels from Cotton On.

Our photographer was Christy Long from Long Exposure. She is an amazingly talented young lady who captured our day perfectly. Her work is so incredible and she is just as incredible herself.
No, everything was done by myself and all my little minions as I like to call them now. Family & friends helped us out a lot leading up to the big day!
My transport to the chapel, was in a Navy Grey 1949 Series 1 80' Land Rover driven by my dad.
Land Rovers were a big part of my life growing up and felt it was only fitting to have one at my wedding as it was something I had always wanted. A special thanks to Kenneth Jones for helping make this a reality!
All the food and catering was done by CHC Catering who was recommended to us by the venue. Wow, were we impressed. The service & quality was out of this world!
Our Wedding cake was made by a very dear friend of mine from school. Tiana from Busy Mums Cakes. We could not have asked for anything better! Not only was it just so beautiful but it was so delicious too! If anyone needs a cake made, this is most definitely your lady to call.
We also had a donut wall, which was made by clever dad. Donuts were from Wicked Donuts.

The party.... We had the best DJ around, Jarryd Sunkel from KZN Wedding DJ. Jarryd kept that dance floor fill from the minute the party started to the minute it ended. All sound and lighting was supplied by him.
No dance lessons were taken, we just completely enjoyed the moment.
Our first dance song was to James Arthur, Say you wont let go.
The father daughter dance was, I loved her first by Heartland
