We visited Thailand on our honeymoon. We spent 3 nights at the Uzenmaya, Phuket and 7 nights at the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort, Phi Phi Island.
I wanted my dress to be timeless...and always knew that I would get married in a ballgown. I was lucky enough to find the perfect dress at Brides of Somerset. It is a gorgeous imported white Morilee gown with a cathedral veil. The shoes were also from Brides of Somerset. Hair and makeup done by Cecilia Fourie. Earrings from Lovisa, and my bracelet (something old) was given to me by my husband on my 27th birthday in Bali.
I got ready at the Krystal Beach hotel in Gordon's Bay and we also spent our wedding night here. Our exquisite venue was The Restaurant at Waterkloof...well-known for their 5 star dining experiences by Chef Gregory Czarnecki. He is 2016's Eat Out Awards Chef of the year and Waterkloof is ranked 3rd in the country by Eat Out.
Because Waterkloof does not need any bells and whistles, I wanted the venue to speak for itself. The views are breathtaking and the "glass box" in the sky does not need a lot of decor. I went with a crystal, modern feel, to compliment the restaurant. Flowers were all white, crystal underplates and tiffany chairs and personalised napkins. Decor was done by the amazing Dinique Emporium who literally translated my vision into my dream wedding.
The groom was dressed in a classic all black tuxedo by Fabiani.
Daryl Glass, our photographer, was one of the best wedding decisions I made. He is so brilliant, creative, understanding and accommodating. One of the most talented photographers I have seen. His work speaks for itself.
My planner was Chandre Beukes, now based in PE. She is extremely talented, so creative and a perfectionist. Everything on my day ran smoothly without ANY glitches. I could not have asked for a better person to take over all my stress and worries.
Brides of Somerset is run from a studio with a relaxed cosy atmosphere enabling the Bride to select her gown from a wide range of imported dresses.
I strongly believe each and every person should look natural, yet radiantly beautiful, this is accomplished by enhancing each client s natural features.
