This day was more than what both of us could wish for! I would honestly not changed a thing...from the moment I opened my eyes on the 24th of September, till the two of us left the reception at 2am (Yes...we had a great time!!).
Our first holiday ever together, we spent in Plett. In March 2017 we got engaged on the beach in Plett...in September we got married on the beach in front of 60 of our closest friends and family....in Plett.
As our special day was on Heritage day, what better way to celebrate it than with a braai on the beach.
One of my stand-out moments was when my dad shook Andrew's hand, and Andrew just looked at me and went "WOW". He looked so emotional and proud.
I LOVED our wedding!! I'll do it over and over and over (with my husband of course)!! ;)
Of course we went on honeymoon....what an adventure!!
We left 2 days after the wedding. We went island hopping around Thailand for 10 days.
This was my first time abroad, and how amazing that I could share this with my HUSBAND!
I was so indecisive as I am a no fuss person. Every dress I tried on was lovely...but I just didn't feel "that" connection.
So the talented Cindy Bam came to the rescue!!
She was busy working on a dress (which I did not like), but suggested I try it on....long story short....we ended up using bits and pieces of 4 different dresses, wrapped a piece of Spanish lace around my body and boom...we had a sketch!!
This dress is an absolute work of art. I just can't let it go...it was my dream dress!!
My hair and make-up was very natural and I wore pearl studs. The dress itself had a lot going on so I wanted to keep the rest simple. I got married bare feet, and for the reception I just put on a pair of nude leather sandals I from Witchery.

We got married on Lookout Beach in Plettenberg Bay.
It was a weekend wedding. On the Saturday night we had a braai with all our guests at The Whaling Station in Plett.
Monday morning after the wedding, we all had breakfast at Goosevalley Golf Estate.
This is also where most of the guests stayed.
I really didn't have any beauty regime. I have always been an active person...train every day and try and eat a balanced diet.
Proteas, Proteas and more Proteas. In all colors and sizes.
The rest of the flowers we used was succulents and fynbos.
We rented seating for the beach and a dance floor for the venue. Everything else was there. The venue had a very natural look with lots of wood and glass features.

My very handsome husband wore a navy blue suit from Zara. Hiss accessories were from Country road.
All the groomsmen, including the groom, wore suspenders from H&M.
My beautiful bridesmaids wore infinity dresses in a duck egg blue color.
These dresses were flowy and perfect for a beach wedding. They all were barefoot, with barefoot sandals that my mom made.
My favorite pastor in the whole world...Ds Why Duvenhage.
I've known him since primary school.
Our photographer was the best!! She traveled all the way from Gordons Bay to come and capture our special day!

Our food was prepared by the chefs of Equinox Restaurant. This is also where we had our reception.
The food was fantastic. The guests couldn't stopped eating...especially the Salmon!!
Our cake was done by Claire's Cakes in Plettenberg Bay. Simply delicious!!
