Our wedding was magical and there is not one thing that I would change. Our special day far exceeded the expectations that we had, every moment was absolutely breath taking and we could feel God's presence with us throughout the entire day. Listed below are some of the moments that were most memorable to me:
* Sharing the morning of my wedding day with the most amazing women and friends so close to my heart.
* My dad's eyes the moment he first saw his little girl in her wedding dress.
* Spending some quality time with my mother and mother-in-law the morning of our wedding.
* Seeing my husband to be in tears the moment he saw me walking down the isle, a memory that I hold so very close to my heart.
* Saying our vows and finally "I DO" was the best feeling in the world!
* Celebrating this wonderful day with all our loved ones.
We went to Dullstroom for our honeymoon. We mostly took this time to relax and just "take in" the amazing decision we had made. Other days we did not relax as much, we had some adventures together and made great memories. Our honeymoon was amazing and especially because it was only me and my HUSBAND. One of many more to come.
Hair & Makeup: Was done by Charlotte Clark, the owner of Glamazon Hair & Beauty Salon. I gave Charlotte pictures of makeup and hair that I was interested, but wow what an amazing job she did. When my hair and makeup was done, was the first time I started to feel like a bride.
I chose to have my hair down on the one side and up on the other. For me this is a very elegant and sophisticated look.
With makeup I knew I wanted a dark neutral eye the and a soft lip. I was very happy with the overall look that Charlotte created.
Wedding Dress: I purchased my dress from Timeless Bridal Couture. They have the most beautiful dresses that I have ever seen. I tried on a few dresses but immediately knew when I had found "THE ONE". The Ivory color worked perfectly with my skin tone and the rose lace all over was absolutely gorgeous.
Shoes: I found the shoes that goes perfectly with my dream dress at Truworths. They are darker then the dress with gold straps that went around my ankles. These shoes looked absolutely stunning with my dress.
Lingerie: This part I struggled with until just before our wedding. I wanted to wear lingerie that made me feel like a gorgeous bride, but at the same time it had to be the correct type that would not show any lines through my dress. I found the perfect lingerie at Cotton On.
Jewelry: My husband bought me the most beautiful butterfly pearl set a few years ago, I always said that, that was the jewelry that I would one day wear on our wedding day, so I did. I only wore the earrings as my dress was already very glamorous.
Accessories: I wore the most beautiful head piece that was full of Swarovski diamonds and pearls. The head piece matched my waist belt and earrings flawlessly.
I had a garter made that matched the color of my dress.

We chose @Boshoek as our wedding venue. This venue completely describes the type of people that me and my husband are. The venue as beautiful accommodation so some of our family and friends stayed at the venue the entire weekend with me and my husband. Other family and friends that drove far, stayed at the lodges and guest houses in the area. Everyone was very impressed with their accommodation and there was more than enough accommodation in the same area as our venue.
I used a tan can three times a week to get that naturally tanned look.
I went to the hair salon for color treatments every month, regularly doing a treatment to keep my hair healthy.
I had my eyebrow and lip waxed every month.
I used Listerine at home and a whitening toothpaste.
I did my own facial at home at least once a month.
I ate healthy food and drank at least two liters of water a day.
I went for a spa day with a good friend just to relax and forget about everything.
We had a good idea of what we wanted our special day to look like. Some of the elements changed along the way but it was still more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.
Decor: The venue supplied square tables that could seat eight guests. The decor on the tables were, white table cloths with a broad grey runner, leaving just the edges of the white table cloth to show next to the grey. We then placed stainless steel under plates on top of the table cloth and runner, one big white plate on top of the under plate and a side plate on top of the larger plate. Each plate had a grey serviette with a white flower on, my aunt made each of these flowers by hand. We rented dark grey tie backs and I made these diamond silver hoops to give the effect of a bow on the back of the chairs. We chose a pot of honey for the women as a thank you gift and honey mead that my husband made for the men. We put in a lot of effort with our thank you gifts, as we felt that all the guests means so much to us. We chose white lilies, jip, grey leaves and red roses. The flowers were place in white wooden boxes in the center of the square table, we had these wooden boxes made so that we could give the flowers to some of our guests. Each tables flower arrangement had a white wooden table name in the center, for example love and peace. The table that my husband and I sat at was rectangular with the flower arrangement on the front of the table in rectangle boxes. The venue supplies a lot of the decor like the brown Tiffany chairs, fairy lights on the ceiling and on the walls of the venue, fairy lights outside and in the trees, coffee lounges that they created for the guests, old suitcases and much more. Hanging from the ceiling, above each table are the beautiful dimming lights with branches in between. They changes the lighting throughout the evening as the mood changed.
The groom: It took longer to find a suit for my husband than it did for me to find a dress. We first tried a few of the well know places but we had trouble finding the perfect suit. We eventually found a suit that my husband was happy with. It is full medium grey suit with a white shirt and a grey tie that we purchased at Edgars, we matched this with black shoes and a black leather belt that my father had made for my husband. My husbands mother gave him a silver tie clip and silver cufflinks to complete this look. He also wore his silver watch. He looked amazingly handsome on our wedding day <3
Groomsmen: With the groomsmen we kept it very simple and light. They wore grey suit pants, a white shirt, grey tie, grey braces, the look was completed with a black belt and shoes. We purchased most of this outfit at Edgars. The groomsmen all looked very handsome.
I decided to get my bridesmaids dresses at a place called Something You Bridal Wear. I chose their infinity dresses which was great because these dresses are beautiful and affordable. My bridesmaid were also very happy with these dresses. Each bridesmaid chose a dress from a selection of dresses and they also chose between a light grey and dark grey. In the end two bridesmaids chose light grey and three chose the dark grey. The different types of grey that they chose was great as it gave me some room to play with the grey we used at the wedding. All my bridesmaids looked gorgeous. To finish the look, they wore fine silver jewelry, silver heels or pumps(What ever they felt comfortable in), natural makeup and a stunning up-style.
We chose to use Pastor Renier Pelser as our marriage officer. I have known Pastor Renier most of my life and he is a very good person. Our wedding day was very important to us and we are very happy that Pastor Renier married us. He made our ceremony so very special and every single moment was filled with the love of God. This was such a life changing moment!
Photographer: Our minds were made up that we would have a photographer and videographer. We decided to use Creative Tree Studios as I know their work. They really make the day very special and they capture all the great moments. For me this was one of the biggest decisions, now that I look back at the most amazing day that flies past in the blink of an eye, I realize that in the end we only have the photos and video to remember every detail of one of the greatest days of our lives.
Photo booth: We asked Magic Memories Photo Booths to entertain our guests at the wedding. Getting a photo booth for our wedding was absolutely one of the best decisions, we now have so many extra memories to look back on. The guests enjoyed this a lot, it is like an extra thank you for attending our wedding.
We did not have a wedding planner to help us, but we had so much more. Our special day would not have been possible if it was not for our parent, they helped with everything and anything that we asked. My wonderful bridesmaids also helped me a lot, they were willing to help with anything that we asked of them. The @Boshoek venue team is unbelievably amazing, you can say that they were the planners for the day of our wedding and even the venue planning before the time.
The @Boshoek venue has a beautiful classic car, they drove me and my dad from the honeymoon suite down to where the ceremony took place.
Food: The venue includes the catering. I am don't know who they used at our wedding but the food was DELICIOUS!!!!
Wedding Cake: My mother-in-law made our wedding cake. She made a naked carrot cake with cream cheese icing. The cake was such a hit that the guest ate almost nothing of the other desserts.
My Maid of Honor designed our invites, thank you gift tags and name tags. She has her own business called Jumping Fox and she is very talented.
The party was a lot of fun! We practiced our dance at home and luckily it turned out the way we wanted, or mostly the way we wanted it to. The venue supplied the lighting and we got the DJ that often plays for weddings at the @Boshoek wedding venue. We set up our own playlist with all the songs that we like. It looked like all our guests were having a lot of fun and we were on the dance floor most of the night.
