We decided to take pictures before the ceremony so we did a little unveiling, seeing each other for the first time that day..
My gorgeous wedding planner, who handled all the arrangements so i didn't have to.
My Husband and I went to get Slushies and Popcorn after our wedding!
So we got engaged in August and we were set to start planning our big day for somewhere in December.. We both agreed that we didn't want to be engaged long.
We were set to start planning the big day.. For the 22 of December..
By the beginning of September I told my (now) husband that the planning was driving me crazy and that i wanted to elope.. So we scaled the event way down, decided on a small intamate ceremony by the river, with no more than 50 people. And through a series of events, our new wedding date turned out to be the 15th of September. Yep.. We planned our wedding in 2 weeks.
We had a lovely honeymoon in Dana bay!!
I wanted to go with something simple.. But things kinda took another turn the week before the wedding. I had a beautiful off-white dress, from Forever New, picked out. But my family was adamant that i needed to get an actual wedding dress..
I ended up with my sister in law's wedding dress.. She offered me the dress and allowed me to have it changed. Monday morning (4days) till the wedding, we met with someone about changing the dress. We decided to take of all the detail on the dress, and use the structure. We were advised that using a full lace on the dress in a style i wanted, would be the easiest and quickest option.
We found lace that i never could have dreamed up and it all came out perfectly.. The shoes, jewels and hair just fell into place after that. The make was done by one of my friends and was basically decided on the day.
We got married next to the river on a plantation owned by dear friends of the family. Under two willow trees, everything was green and gorgeous.
The ceremony and reception was outside under the trees.. We had flowers and an arch thay was built on the day.. We also decided to have different styled chairs for the guests, a cute little element i saw on Pinterest.
The photos were done by my niece and her husband.. They did great. Very happy with our photos.
My sister in law's sister took care of all the arrangements.. I had no idea what was going on with the arrangements.. She took a lot of stress away from me and everything turned out perfectly!!
