Marrying my best friend.
We went to the Drakensburg.
I went for the Bohemian look.
Die Ou Plaashek near Lanseria. The venue did not have accommodation, the guests stayed in lodges and guest houses close by.
I ate healthy and exercised. For the beauty regime part, I went for a facial (I don't like to fuss)
I wanted everything to be as simple as possible, I supplied most of the decor myself, as I have collected little glass bottles and used that for the flowers. My sister in law is very creative and made me some lovely hessian flowers that went on the tables. The owner of the venue also had so much items that fitted my theme perfectly.
My husband and I decided to not have any groomsman. My husband wore a very stylish suit that we bought from Woolworths.
I did not have any bridesmaids.
Ina van Vuuren a pastor.
No.
No transport was required.
The food was prepared by Die Ou Plaashek. The wedding cake was made by my very talented friend, Karen Rossouw, she is a chef and has worked at top establishments all over the country.
We had electronic invites that we sent out to our guests. The only stationary we had was the table placings and that was printed at a local company.
The party was so much fun. The dance floor was outside under the stars, until it started raining then we all moved inside the reception venue. We didn't take any dance lessons (not that we didn't need to) the song we chose was a slow dance song, and anyone can slow dance :)
A good friend of mine was our DJ and handled the lightning as well.
