My wedding day was a fairy tale. The setting was beautiful, rustic, vintage and filled with books in all creative forms. Taking it all in as I walked down the path, surrounded with nature, and he is still there waiting for me is probably the most special moment of the day. The whole day I felt very calm and excited! When I saw him I knew why - the choice felt right. No hesitations.
Another moment I treasure was when me and my bridesmaids where doing our hair and make-up. I helped with my bridesmaids hair. It was so special.
The speeches was so heartfelt and personal and it made me realize again how special our family is. I love them so much.
Seeing the guests enjoy the food (and the food was AMAZING!- I know, cause I made sure I ate everything), the dancing, the laughter and conversations filled us with joy.
We went to Bali! Typical beach-bar honeymoon vibe with a touch of culture and touring around the country. Drinking cocktails out of coconuts was my highlight (and of course calling Gustav "my husband.")!
I drew my dress for the seamstress and she made it come to life. Long sleeve, scalloped border V-neck lace top and simple A-line bottom with a repeat of the lace at the back and a border around the bottom.
My hair was a vintage, braided low-up do with a delicate hairpiece and a medium length veil. Done by Marnel Toerien.
My make-up was classic, not over the top with big lashes and dark lips to mach the overall colour scheme of the wedding. Also done by Marnel Toerien. SHE IS AMAZING!!
My earrings was borrowed from a very good friend and another borrowed item was the garter from my sister in law.
My shoes was shoes I had - but absolutely loved and wanted nothing else!

Evertsdal Opstal. A venue that has so much character and fit in perfectly with my ideas of a book-themes, vintage/rustic wedding.
We stayed at Dark Chocolate guesthouse. We received very good service and enjoyed the getting ready there beforehand.
I went for facials once a month; had a light spray tan, went to the gym a few times a week but refused to go on a diet.

No. Me and my mom arranged everything ourselves and the venue helped with co-coordinating on the day.
The food was done by Evertsdal Opstal, the Chef is Chrisna. Everyone raved about the food and the price is reasonable!
The wedding Cake was done by Bird Cage in Stellenbosch. It was a cheese cake and served as desert.
I did all the designs myself.
