Our love story started in the beginning of 2008. My sister attended a family braai with her friend and she met my Husband there and gave my number to him.
He invited me on "Mxit" we started chatting. For about 5 months. We had a few fight and stop chatting with each other for a week or two the just continued.
In July 2008 we decided it's time to meet each other in person. So my husband asked me out on a date.
We had a blind date at spur.
The moment we met was love at first sight. And we have been together since.
Our proposal was quite funny. My husband proposed of Christmas day 2009.
We were home just watching movies after Christmas lunch.
We sat in the living room and we had a small argument about something (I can't even remember what it was about )
I stood up when to my room and to the bathroom. The I finished up in the bathroom and got to the door to go back to our room he stood in front of me and went down on one knee and asked will you please marry me? It was so unexpected. But I instantly just said yes.
One of the highlight of our wedding day was just before we left the lodge to go to the venue where the wedding took place.
I stood on one side of a wall my husband on the other side. Giving each other a note/small letter.
The letter he wrote me is so beautiful and special.
2nd highlight of our wedding was our first dance. We have been together for 9 years now and never danced together. It meant so much to me.
3rd highlight of our wedding was after the wedding we went back to the lodge where we booked in. Sat around with family chatting and went to our room at 2:30 am and my husband said that he is very hungry so we got it the car and went looking for a 24/7 take away. At the fuel station we asked a police officer and he escorted us to a kfc.
Unfortunately we were not able to go on a honeymoon.

We got Married at Lake Restaurant in Brakpan.
Our guests stayed the night at Lahani Lodge in Benoni
