Our day was Beautiful.
Was raining the Friday, but God blessed us with beautiful weather the Saturday.
All our close friends and family was there for ceremony and made it even more special.
Our daughter refused to wash her hair, thinking that she's getting married, when she only three years old.
During the entire ceremony she was on her dad's arm. not missing a single moment.
The laughter and joy we experience was out of this world.
No, was not in the budget. However we were in Mauritius a few months before the wedding.
So we first had honeymoon, before actual wedding lol
I wanted to keep everything as simple as possible but elegant at the same time.
I had a natural look for make-up, not much accessories because I wanted the guest to focus on my wedding dress and nothing else.
My shoes was Jessica Simpson heels. It had all the colours of the wedding in it.
I entered the Glamour bride competition and won a pair of Hanky Panky underwear with the words ' I DO' on it.
Husband was very surprised, but not giving any other details around that topic.
My hair was done by my aunt. A simple up do so that the back of dress design could show.
We got married at McPherson's restaurant in Tableview, Cape Town.
Guest that lived far out slept the night in their rooms on premises.
Honestly I did not have a beauty regime. I was blessed with I think beautiful skin and was a dancer and just love the way I looked. I said if he want me as his wife he just have to get used to a plane jane kind of girl.
However I just told myself not too stress and if something goes wrong to laugh it off at the end of the day.
Our flowers was amazing! Just how I wanted it.
He used to spoil me with flowers while we were dating and my only request was that if we get married, it must be fresh flowers. A lady in our community did it for us. 15 bouquet for table and 4 massive one's for ceremony.
Our colours was rose gold and shades of purple. All décor was rose gold and flowers had our shades of purple.
Fairy lights was added in the ceiling to round off the elegant look.
What a challenge I had with the boys!
Groom had on a black and white Tuxedo, with bow tie.
Groomsmen all had charcoal suits with purple waist coats. Best man had a charcoal Tux with gold waist coat.
Suits was hired at Keith suites
I had three bridesmaids. All had infinity dresses on, each one with unique colour.
I chose these dresses so that they can wear it again after wedding.
Dresses was made by Infinity dresses
We had a commissioner from our church doing our Legal part and ceremony was done by our church leader.
Our photos was done by DH Photography. We opted not to hire a videographer and photo booth as it was out of our budget.
Must mention that our photographer was very professional and had a lot of patience.
Always had a warm smile on his face and directed us with our shoots. He also chose the perfect spot for our background.
Truly was amazing!
I went to a few wedding expo's in the mall where there was no cover charge and dotted down some ideas that I liked.
That gave me inspiration to do my own wedding.
Cars was not the highlight of our wedding.
But husband did get my dream car to transport me to the venue.
Our food was prepared by the venue, was included in package.
Our wedding cake was made by Connie's Cakes. we had four tiers and each tier had a different flavour.
1st-Chocolate, 2nd Turquoise delight, 3rd granadilla and the forth tier was blueberry.
We kept everything at a minimum. Our invitations was printed by Paper Paradise, and menu was written on the chalkboard.
There was no seating plan, as we felt everyone is now family.
Speeches was long!
A DJ was included with venue. No one took dance lessons as we are natural born dancers.
