We met at The Innibos festival but didn't take each others numbers. After two weeks we both decided on impuls to go to hatfield square on my 40days and between all those people we bumped in to each other.
If you know my fiance he usually isn't good at being romantic so for the engagement he went all out. He made little messages and put them in little bottles and packed them on the beach. As i pick up the last one he goes down on one knee and pops the question.
On my wedding day we got married on a old bridge and just being able to walk down the aisle and see my Husbands face made my day.
Yes we did, we were lucky enough to go to Beachcomber Le Mauricia hotel in Mairitius
My wedding look was funky fairytale. I had a big puffy dress with a red underlay. My hair was long curls half up behind my back with a hand made hair piece. My jewellery was soft pearls with a bit of diamonds.
We got married on ou farm right outside a small town called Burgersfort. Some of our guests camped over and the orher ones stayed in close by lodges.
I am naturally not a cream and facial person. But i did go for my nails and toes and i ate healthy for my big day.
My wedding colours were black, white, red and wood. My flowers were a combination of red and white roses, proteas as well as gyp and leaves. I had hand made wood centre pieces and serviette rings. My tent was decorated with white draping as well as fairylights. The whole theme was farm style vibe.
The groom had a black pants with a silk black shirt and red tie with a white jacket. The groomsmen all wore black chinos with a white shirt and red bowties.
My bridesmaids all wore cute short dresses with a black sweatheart necline top and a tutu like red skirt. Their shoes were black own choice.
Our Marriage officer was Ds Riaan Botha.
We had two photographers known as Kikipro Photography which did a splendid job with our photos. We also Had a videographer known as Candice Joubert. She is still busy with the video but I love her work. We did have a self cater photo booth witch was a lot of fun.
Not really we did most of our décor and arrangements ourselves. I did have a friend of ours help arrange the food and plates so that helped a lot.
I had a Metallic green Classic Chevrolet Malibu
The meat was prepared by a friend of my fathers and all the salads and breads were done by my whole family. My cake was done beautifully by Kleinzuikerbosch Cake Studio.
As I am a Graphic designer I did all my stationery on my own.
To quote all my guests " this was one of the best and fun weddings they have been to". We are lucky enough to have been able to invite everyone I wanted there. We had 240 guests and most of them stayed until late. We did have dancing lessons and we loved every class. We had the privilege to ask a good friend to do our music(DJ), his name is Greunen and he did a amazing job.
