The highlight of our wedding was definitely when the preacher said John could kiss his bride! The whole wedding was wonderful. We have never been so happy!
We went to Oppikoppi 2017 in Northam, Limpopo and after that we went to the Forever resort in Bela-Bela. Our first dat e was at Oppikoppi 2014 and we wanted to go back to where our love started..
I'm a plain Jane. My wedding dress was white with a little bling on top. Everything was quite plain and simple. I wore Levi sneakers for shoes - what an awesome plan that was. My feet didn't hurt one bit that whole day! My friend which is an make-up artist, did my make-up. A very natural look. It looked awesome. My hair was loosely curled and taken up half way so it could still hang loose.
We got married at Losberg Lodge, just outside Fochville. It was a very relaxed atmosphere as we were out of town in the mountain. There are animals on the lodge, as it is a nature reserve. The guests stayed over and had breakfast with us the next morning before departing.
I Joined the gym in February to get toned and just loose a couple of kg's. Nails, waxing and facial was done 3 days before the wedding.
I made my own centre pieces for the tables. It was a small succulent garden planted in a wooden box (which hubby made). There was no flowers, just succulents. The décor was white with hessian and lace. Bunting was hung everywhere to give it a relaxed festive feeling.

The groom wore a blue suit which consisted of a cheque jacket, plain blue trousers, blue shirt and a blue tie. The groomsman wore a white shirt and a blue jean denim. The suit was rented from Smart guy in Pretoria.

My bridesmaids each wore a light green dress of which they chose their own pattern. I just wanted them to wear long green dresses, but they had the choice of what they wanted. My sister made their dresses as a gift, as she is a seamstress.
My cousin is a professional photographer and she took all of our beautiful pictures.

My mother made the wedding cake for desert. My aunt made the cheese-cake for the pre-drink table. The venue supplied the food, which was to die for.
My friends Anize, Elbie, Jo-Ann
The party was awesome!!! My DJ was Mitchel Cloete. We didn't take any dance lessons, we just went for a couple of evenings out to a club where we sorted out our moves.
