We forgot to sing the Hymn, lol but everyone was so happy and relaxed, it was just so wonderful to have our family and close friends. My husband and I danced our first ever dance on our wedding day, we had never danced before together. So it was really special. The food was amazing, the dessert table was delightful and the Instax Polaroid was a huge hit, really good music and very much appreciated and needed rain on our wedding day.
We only managed to spend one Night in Stilbaai at Charlotte's House( very beautiful guest house with very lovely hosts). We plan to go to Europe next year to celebrate the rest of our honeymoon.
Vintage/shabby chic with lace and pearls. hair vintage with plaits and curls and natural make up. A line romantic dress with lace and soft mesh in an off white almost ivory. In Kleinemonde/Seafield just outside of Port Alfred on the way to East London. Guests stayed at various self catering units around the venue. Some at Lala Lapa Lodge. Fort D'Acre. Huis Purfek. 39 Island Road. Fish River Sun. The Hall that we got married in was hired out by Althea Bezuidenhout- 082 853 5395. The most beautiful little stone chapel was hired out to us by Ray Schenk- 083 558 3195.
Nothing Special. Did weekly facials of bicarb and coconut oil. Hair mask of coconut oil. Exercise or stayed as active as I could by walking a lot and drinking water.
Lilac and dove grey colour scheme. Simple shabby chic Dècor....we used lots glass jars, either jam or mayo jars, wine bottles,we stuck hessian and lace around the jars. and placed them all over the venue and in the chapel. We used lots of wildflowers, beautiful soft lilac/white heather. Olive branches. dried lavender. Penny Gum, King Proteas and gypsophila. White detailed table cloths with a hessian and lace runner. Strings of pearls. Beautiful silver detailed under plates. White lycra chair covers. Grey Linen serviettes. We also used an old hat box for the gift box, old milk cans, old record player. We had the hall fully draped with white strips and fairy lights, the main table had a grey tafita and lace curtain effect with fairy lights. The Children's table I put black paper on the table with wax crayons for them to draw on, I also printed out colouring in pictures of a wedding, they also got a party pack with some sweets and pop corn on the table.
The Groom wore Navy Chinos ( from Mr Price) white button up shirt, with Brown shoes ( Shoe City). The Groomsmen wore Grey Chinos ( from Mr Price) and white button up shirts with brown shoes. The Guys all had shot gun shells with olive branches and gypsophila for their button holes.
The Bridesmaids wore long infinity dresses in grey and soft lilac and darker purple. We had borrowed dresses from various people.

Our Photographer was Elsabe Martin from Humansdorp. ELMAR Photography 079 466 0167. I just lover her style, she captures the natural aspects of a function and she is so bubbly. Videographer- we didn't hire anyone but our very dear friend Lane Rollo captured our wedding on video for us. We also had our very special friend Leandè Greeff from Kirkwood who took extra photos ( she did our engagement shoot). We didn't use a photo booth but rather an Instax Polaroid with some fun party props. We will be making a collage of all the Polaroids.
Nope, I did it all myself with the help of My Maid of Honour- Ansu Heinen and My two sisters ( bridesmaids) Margaux van den Berg and Carmen Brown. Everyone that was involved ie the caterer, DJ, Minister and MC and family that arranged our flowers, everybody was so amazing, everyone just jumped in helped so much,in the wedding helped by doing their part they were also professional and so relaxed, we wanted the wedding to be a true reflection of ourselves and relaxed, we didn't need to rehearse things.
Nothing Fancy, I drove with my maid of honour and her husband in their bakkie down to the wedding. I am a farm girl, I would have been happy walking too.
The most divine spread of food was prepared by Auntie Tracy Llody. So delicious, soooo professional and so amazing, she really went the extra mile. Her cell is 082 899 0427. Our delicious naked cake and scrumptious cupcakes were made by Madre de Viller Oosthuizen. 083 403 9380. We also had various other treats on the table. Fudge and koeksiters, turkish delight, Malva pudding and ice cream.
I used WIX.COM to design my wedding invitations. Our very dear friend Leandè Greeff designed our Save the dates. The our actual wedding program was Designed by Leandè Greeff and I had them printed at Sign and Copy in Queenstown. We also used Black Chalk boards to write on for the times of the events at the wedding.
The party was a blast, we didn't take any dance lessons, we winged it....it was literally our first dance as husband and wife. Our sound was done by Duncan Crisp DJ-083 230 5520. Clive however stood in for Duncan and he was great, he read the crowd beautifully and was so friendly and professional.
