When I walked down the aisle knowing that was it I'm getting married to my life long best friend, it was the best feeling ever. We had a little surprise for all our geust by having a small dance routine and everyone was so surprised as all the geust thought it was the DJ destroying our first dance on the dance floor but it was PERFECT!!!!
I sneaked in a BIG PINK plastic ring in our ring box so when my husband opened the box he would think there was something wrong. But he was so fast taking that ring out and putting it in his pocket that I almost didn't see him do that. The love we have for each other is amazing. We have been dating for 9 years before we got married and we could write a story book on how perfect everything is in our life, with all the up's and downs nothing will get us down we are one from the very start! Our wedding day, the whole entire day, was a massive high light in our life and we wont change a thing!!!!!
The honeymoon was a massive surprise!! I was not allowed to know about anything. We went to Drakensberg and had such an amazing time there. We made so much memories. We flew from Cape Town to Durban and we went to hire a car to drive about 3 hours. On the road I still did not know where we were going but it was super exciting. I really had the best time ever with my husband!! Wish we could go on honeymoon every month :D
Our wedding was a classy tipe of wedding but with a fun twist. Maroon, navy and rose gold was the colours of our wedding. I bought my dress from Ever After Bridal in Durbanville. It had lace and the colour was a nude colour. The dress was kind of a soft look but with some drama as well. I had rosegold jewellery with a diamond arm band that was a present from my husband. I went for a knee operation 2 months before our wedding so my shoes had to be comfortable but I could not have flats on as the dress was complimented with some length. I had short ankle height boots with a thick heel on. I gave the shoe some character by having maroon lace stockings on underneath my dress. Myself and my husband had matching underwear with "joune vir altyd" printed on there. My make-up was not to dramatic but I had some maroon lipstick on to compliment my bridesmaids dresses. My hair was to the one side with loads of curls and a french plat on the other side. My hair colour is a silver blonde colour.
We got married in Riebeek Kasteel, Delsma farm wedding venue. Our geust stayed the night. On the farm is accommodating for the geust that felt like staying over.
I am very blessed to not have any skin problems, before the wedding I used some Avon products as stres still kicks in and make some spots on your skin. Regarding the fitness part, it was very hard as I had my knee operation due to a knee injury from netball. I love my netball and play almost every day of the week.
I tried to eat healthy and cutting out all the bad habit foods and that was helping me alot as I could not be active at the time before my wedding. My teeth got cleaned the week before the wedding through my dentist. But i did not do any whitening.
At the pre drink section we had lawn games for our geust to play with a bread table and a sluch puppy machine with vodca in and bashews for pre drinks. Flowers was maroon, red and some purple flowers with alot of green and some hoops hanging out of the roof. We had bigger soft couch chairs that we hired to sit on at the reception. Our thank you gift was a wooden board that you can use as a bread board or for cheese or you can use it as a hot plate or as a place mat. Our geusts loved it.
The groom had a suit made for him in a blue colour with leather brown shoes, leather brown belt, leather brown suspenders and a leather brown bow tie. His groomsmen had a brown chino with a white shirt with the same bow tie, suspenders and belt as what the groom had and the shoes was brown "fellies". We had the leather items made, the shirt hired from Mr Suit Hire, the chino pants from Old Khaki and the shoes from coperation. The grooms suit was from Tailor Made Suits.
My bridesmaids had maroon lace dresses on. It was long dresses and it was made by my aunt. I saw the dress idea on the internet.

Anke Photography was our amazing photographer. She is the best person to feel comfortable with taking photos and her personality is great. She is a lovely person. Very fun to be around her.The videographer is Moments on Film, they are very fun and have alot of unique ways of filming.

The food was prepared by the venue themselves. Our cake was a redvelvet cheese cake. Thelma made our wedding cake.

The party was very nice. We did not take any dance lessons but we had a dance instructor to teach us a hip hop dance that myself and my husband danced after we opened the dance floor. Our DJ was Dirkie Gildenhyus for the evening and for the pre drinks we had Merique, she is a lady that sang the most beautiful songs ever. All the sound and lightning was done through our DJ. What a party we had, sooooooooo much fun!!!!
