Everything was a highlight! My dress was specially made and sponsored for me and it was perfect! I didnt want the normal traditional wedding and white wedding dress and as someone who loves purple...it had to feature somewhere! The colour sheme of the whole wedding also worked perfectly because my husbands favourite colour is green...which goes so well with purple!
We went to Hartenbos for a week and it was wonderful! I grew up with holiday on Hartenbos and with my husband being from Namibia it was great to show him more of our beautiful country!
I had a very beautiful specially designed and tailor made dress,so everything went around that. Because the dress was Alot,my hair, make up and jewellery was very simple and elegant. I had to have purple shoes...and it being a farm wedding purple vellies from Redemption in Wellington worded perfectly!
I got married at my work...I am a pizza chef at a Craft beer Brewery outside of Porterville and it has the most beautiful view of the mountains where I grew up. So the choice for a wedding venue was easy! We did have to make it a venue for the weekend...but everything turned out perfect!
My guests all stayed in Porterville for the night.
Lindy from Laatson Skoonheid in Porterville was incharge of ally waxing, hair dyeing and beautifying...and she did a really good job! I hardly recognised myself on the day!
My mom and myself did most of the decor. My mom made placemats with different greens, purples, lace and ribbon with burlap pockets for the cutlery which we then gave as thank you gifts.
I made candles is small tins,glasses, jam jars. What ever I could find.
My fiance also took big tins into which he made holes in certain patterns...hearts, our wedding date etc etc. I then made candles in the bottom of.these and painted them to fit the theme. We also had lots of fairy lights! So the whole evening was lighted by candles or twinkle lights... perfect.
My husband decided that he want to wear a full 3piece suit and he looked absolutely gorgeous!! We hired his suit from Suit hire in Paarl.

My transport was the family 1974 Green Mini. My oupa use to drive with in Malmesbury and was known there as Die oom met die groen karretjie. The mini was also my first car when I got my licence. So choosing the mini was a very easy choice. And I felt my Oupa with me the whole way!
Ruan van Heerden from Morreesburg did our catering and it was delicious!! We had a cake table for dessert and we didnt want a wedding cake,so he decorated our favourite cake on the cake table into a make shift wedding cake. Which looked gorgeous and tastesed fantastic! We had cake everyday for 5days after the wedding!
