The 2 most amazing highlights from our wedding was:
1. Walking down the Isle with my Father, then seeing my husband so emotional as he locked eyes with me. The way he looked at me was like nothing before.
2. We said our own vows, it was so deep in emotion that we were all in tears, the whole chapel was in tears, such a glorious moment, so passionate and real. Looking into my husbands eyes and promising him the world.
We had planned to go to Bali the morning after our wedding, after months of saving. and on our wedding night our flights to Bali were suspended due to the Bali Volcano being such a threat to travel. So we managed to make last minute plans two days after our wedding. We made a spontaneous trip to Plettenbergbay, and once we landed there we just took each day as it came, booking places to stay, nothing was planned in advance but it was so amazing and surprising to see what each day would bring. It was our first time in Plett and Knysa and we wouldn't have changed it for the world, it was just perfect - we hired a house boat in Knysna for two days and I've learnt a very valuable thing that time - If you can be a Wifey on a boat for 48 hours straight, you can be a Wifey anywhere haha. I would recommend Plett and Knysna to everyone!
We got married at Cranford Country Lodge in the Midland KZN - So perfect - so breath-taking & beautiful! Majority of our guests stayed at the venue in the beautiful unique units, each different and homey in their own ways. The venue accommodated everyone so heart warming and welcoming.

Our theme was very Boho Enchanted, Rose gold, fresh greens and Marble. We made our own copper Terrariums for the tables.
The groomsmen wore navy pants with white button up shirts with brown suspenders, and their button holes had super hero inspired Lego men in them, they also wore matching superhero socks, Each groomsmen was a different super hero.
The bridesmaid each designed their own style of dress, but the top had to be my chosen lace with my chosen material for the bottom, each bridesmaid had a different coloured dress, all dresses were earth gentle colours. All the bridesmaids matched still, and their bouquets were the copper terrariums we made with the floral inside them.
We had the most fabulous Photographers and Videographers! They were worth every cent!
Our photographers were and amazing Pietermaritzburg couple named Katie & Dave - their name is SummerTown Pictures. They captured every moment possible and had so much patience, kindest, funny and just wonderful.
Our videographers were literally first on my wedding list, they even came as a priority before my wedding dress! I had to have them, as I always had my eyes on their work. Something from a fairy Tale is what Brave & Thatcher create. Their cinematic films are so breath taking it's insane. We had the privilege of having Paul and Louis filming our special day. Both Photographers and videographers were literally part of the family on the day, that's how comfortable they made us feel.
Our venue prepared our food. Best food ever! Our wedding cake we did ourselves - went to our local cheese shop and gathered all sorts of different cheeses, bought fruit and bread sticks etc - added it all together. i was so amazed at how it turned out :)
We did all our own stationery and printing - I am a graphic designer so that really came in handy for our wedding planning :)
