We are two completely different people- and that is what makes us so perfect. After walking a long and winding path together for many years everything finally fell in place for our special day. Our wedding day was exactly what I had always dreamed it would be. I felt like a princess marrying my prince charming. It was the most memorable and beautiful day of our lives. We will cherish every moment, just as we cherish each other, for the rest of our lives.
One of the highlights of our day was having my mother walk me down the isle. She is the strongest woman I know and it was an honour having her by my side. It was also especially memorable having all of our closest friends and family together and sharing such a special day with them.
My Dress was custom made by Anel Botha. It was my dream wedding dress, every detail was what I had always dreamed of. My dress had long sleeves made of the most beautiful lace, that extended all the way down the dress. Inbetween the lace were pieces of honeycomb lace to fit our geometrical themed wedding. My hair was done up, in a big bun so as to show of the beautiful back of my dress. My make up was done in soft tones of rose gold to complement the colour of our wedding. For shoes I opted for plain nude wedge heels, as the wedding was at a farm venue and alot of the day was spent outside. I only had on earrings that were also in a geometrical shape to compliment the dress and wedding theme.
We got married at a farm venue called Lions Lake Venue, near Oranjeville. The venue is borders the Vaal Dam and is the most beautiful serene venue. The Reception hall was a big barn that has been converted into a beautiful space to cater to any style of wedding. Our guests did not stay the night as most that traveled far were family who stayed with us. The majority of guests lived close by and did not need to spend the night.
For our decor we decided to go for something different and unique, just like us. Our wedding colours were Rose gold and Navy Blue, with white flowers and grey leaf fillers such as eucalyptus leaves. Our idea for the entire wedding and decor was to accentuate geometrical shapes and lines. Our most defining decor items were geometrically shaped rose gold balls that were hand made of wire. Our reception hall was strung with fairly lights in tight lines across the roof extending to the floor. The tables were in straight lines to further accentuate the shapes. The tables were decorated with long white runners that hung of the ends, with rosegold underplates, knives and forks and navy blue serviettes. the flowers and geometrical balls were placed on wooden boxes covered in tree bark to create height and there were plenty of candles to create a soft, romantic feel.
My Handsome husband was dressed in a navy blue suit, with a white shirt and a striped blue tie. His groomsmen were in dark grey Chino's with light blue shirts and navy blue ties. The groomsmen's attire were all found at Woolworths, and they wore their own shoes and belts in a brown colour.
My bridesmaids were dressed in Navy blue tulle infinity dresses that had a rose gold top-piece from Hoiden Bridesmaids. They each tied their dresses to their own preference. They wore their own shoes of choice. They each had on rose gold earrings and a bracelet from Lovisa
