In the beautiful city of Cape Town. It started with a coffee, which turned into a dinner, which turned into ice-cream and coffee looking out over the beautiful ocean and city lights. The butterflies in my tummy didn't stop that whole entire time. It was perfect!
We were back in Zimbabwe to visit my family during the New Year period. Whenever I go back, we try and take a hike up Tsindi Ruins, which is a kopje situated on our old farm. Well, as usual, we all got ready for our hike, on 01 Jan 2017. The guys 'had to go earlier to get drinks and snacks' and us girls took our time in getting there. When we got to the clearing at the top of the kopje, Joe said he would like to take my to the rock around the corner, which is the highest point. We got there, and then he said "We aren't going to be able to celebrate our one and a half year anniversary together, so I thought I would give you your present now. He handed my a present. I opened it, and inside was a Disney book with all my favorite Disney stories. (Yes, I am one of those girls, obsessed with disney and fairytales). As I opened the cover, my dream ring was neslted in its box, with the words, 'Let's start our happily ever after. Grow old with me?'
After catching my breath, giggles, tears and squeals, I obviously said yes. Dream come true!!!
