It was definitely the coldest weekend in the midlands as snow had fallen just over the mountain a few days before. My husband shocked us all with the most amazing speech from his heart and just the venue in general was so beautiful and having family fly from all over the world to be with us.
Yes we did go on honeymoon. We went island hopping around Thailand, it was my first time overseas and was AMAZING!! We drank cocktails everyday all day and really had the most incredible 2 weeks of bonding and enjoying each other's company.
My wedding look was very sheek and elegant. Hair and make up done by sole. Wedding dress bought at toujours wedding house. Shoes bought from Steve madden
We got married at Lythwood lodge in the midlands. Majority of our guests stayed the night at the venue but unfortunately wasn't enough accomodation for all our guests so a few stayed in the neighbouring accommodations.
I trained as much as possible. Tried my best to do crossfit classes everyday.
I invested in facial products for the first time in my life.. haha. And had my first facial and ofcourse got my nails done.
Our outside setting was very Rustic, lots of woods and whites. The inside of our venue was very elegant with navy blue sequence runners and silver understated and glass. Our colours scheme was navy, coral and silver.
Majority of our flowers were white with a touch of coral and succulents for the greenery.
The groom and groomsmen wore shirts from Woolworths, bow ties from his apparel, pants from Woolworths and suspenders from Truworths. The groom had a waist coat made at fabric gallery in pietermazitzburg and my son had a matching one. There outfits were very unique and very spunky
My bridesmaids wore dresses I picked and put together from ideas I saw online and loved and had made for them at the fabric gallery in pietermazitzburg and they wore tear drop ear rings from Collett.
Our marriage office was Rob Jobling
Katie from summertown pictures did our photography she is so amazing and so talented. We used barefeet videography to capture our special day and eagerly waiting to recieve it.
They were both so professional and would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
The planner from lythwood lodge helped plan our special day.
I didn't have any wedding transport
All our catering was done by lythwood lodge. From the Friday evening braai / breakfast / snacks on the day whilst getting ready aswell as our canapés and Mains and a late night snack. For desert we had a donut bar. Our wedding cake was made by Lauren Lee cake couture.
All our stationary was designed by Leo and Ness and printing was done in numerous different places.
We did go for one dance lesson and did the world of wonders as I don't do well in front of big crowds. Our sound and lighting was done by Blue moon productions who are based in jhb and Joel was our dj (also from Blue moon productions)
Barefeet loves nothing more than the opportunity to capture these once-in-a-lifetime memories in the most natural, authentic and captivating way.
