We went to George for a week, we stayed at Pine Lodge Marine. We did day trips to Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Mosselbay, Victoria Bay. For fun we went for strawberry picking and watched people bungee jump.
Our wedding theme was Modern/Classic with the colours white, cream and gold. My hair was just simple, yet elegant curls to the side. I purchased my hair extensions from Clipinhair by Hairextensions. My make-up was as natural as possible. Both my make-up and hair was done by my lovely friend Lelani Rudolph. When I started to look for a dress, I initially wanted to have a dress made but decided against it. I then tried on three different dresses and made a choice. The dress had a lot of beading infront and in swifted to the side. The back had a zip with beads for that elegant look.
My aunt said that your wedding shoes symbolises "the walk into your new life". I then saw the perfect shoe on the internet but couldn't find it in a shop. I then decided to search for shoemakers and got a reference for Zaccara Couture in Johannesburg. Claudia followed all my wishes and made me the most beautiful, perfect shoe. It was a rose gold/champagne colour with hand-stitched beads and a wedge. I didn't wear any jewellery because I didn't want it to take the distraction off my dress. I only had a pearl arm bracelet.
We got married at the beautiful Merwida Country Manor in Rawsonville. Some of our guests stayed over at the venue and some at accommodation near the venue
My husband and I went to bootcamp for two months before the wedding and that was about it.
With my wedding package I got a wedding planner who did my decor. The venue itself was spectacular so it didn't need too much decor. We had golden vinyl underplate and a silver underplate. on the tables. With a table arrangement in the middle and shabbat candles for ambience. Our flowers and other decor was purchased from Tonett's in Paarl
They went for a classic look which is black. They bought their suits and ties from Woolworths.
I only had one bridesmaid, so it wasn't a mission to find a dress. She had her dress made, it was a champagne colour infinity dress.
