Seeing my husband at the alter. I hadn't seen him for 24hours and that entire morning and nothing else mattered. I missed him so much I just wanted to be by him and when I saw him it was the only time I wasn't cool calm and collected. I got very teary eyed and tried my best to hold it back for my make up purpose. It was like no one else was there but us. To this day I can picture him standing there so tall, smart and handsome. The love of my life!
No sadly not. We decided to have our dream wedding and we'd save for our dream honeymoon. May it take a year or two we don't care we have each other and when we can afford it we wont hold back.
We got married at Kuthaba Bush Lodge, the most beautiful place I've ever been too. We had our ceremony on a cliff over looking the view and over reception under the stars around a bond fire. It was elegant, romantic and above all else the most incredible venue for the best day of my life. We had over guests stay over as a lot of them came from Cape Town and it was so incredible that we got to spend the weekend with them. A lot of treasured memories.

A lot of time spent with my bridesmaids. You can crash diet and start running marathons etc but frankly a wedding is stressful enough. There is nothing more beautiful than a relaxed bride full of smiles, happiness and laughter. I owe my girls a lot especially my maid of honour - she most definitely helped reduce the stress lines and weary tired eyes lol .. a glass of wine here and there helps a great deal too *wink, wink*
Our venue had spectacular views and scenery all over I used that to my advantage and went with "less is more" I kept with the theme of the wild and stayed with what is true to South Africa by complimenting my white roses with beautiful protea flowers. We were fortunate that our venue catered with their own furniture, chair covers etc even to beautiful lanterns at our reception area
My bridesmaid's were all absolutely stunning!! The worse a gold/beige dress with a lace over lay. Topped with the heels they all looked like models in their own right! Their dresses blended so well with my own I, myself couldn't believe how well it all fitted!

My dear friend who is so utterly incredible made our cake. I had two surprises for my husband, one of which was to have half a batman cake .. she created a beautiful elegant cake and then when turned around there was batman. My husband was thrilled.
