Our day was perfect from the time we woke up. We had booked out the venue in St Lucia for the week end, we got to share every single minute with our family and friends. Our wedding was super casual and relaxed. I had made all my decor, including all my flowers for my bouquet, which I made in bunches to be handed out to each lady before the ceremony. When I walked to meet my hubby, the song "I do, I do, I do" from Abba played and the ladies each handed me their bunch of flowers making up my bouquet, had our moms tie it together before I got to Donavin. He cried from the time he saw me, right through our ceremony, it was too beautiful. Love was definitely in the air. The day was certainly filled with lots of laughter but most of my days are with him.
We stayed in St Lucia for 3 days as we were on a very tight budget. But as long as we together we happy.
We went for a very casual vintage feel. Hair was braided on the side with a very loose up style. My dress, well that's a long story, but in short, I had a dressmaker in America make my dress, as I didn't want a traditional white dress but it never arrived and still till this day it hasn't arrived, so 3 weeks before our wedding my mom and I ran around looking for an alternative dress, after quiet a bit of alterations, I had a dress that at least looked vintage and turned out to be quiet beautiful even though it was off white lol.
We got married in St Lucia, family and friends all stayed at the venue for the week end. It was super amazing having everyone you love with you all the time and sharing every minute with you.
Myself and my bride tribe helped me with making our decor. I hand made all my flowers that went into our jars and in my bouquet. I also had 1.8m flower stands at our ceremony. Simple but really beautiful.
Our photographer was Louis from Momentography.
I didn't have a planner, I planned our wedding and Donavin was in charge of music and food, hee hee :)
My husband is a professional singer and he sang a song for me. "She believes in me" by Kenny Rogers. As always, he took breath away. Fun was had by all and did not see one person that did not kick some hoof on the dance floor.
