Waking up the morning to perfect weather, was the first thing that put a smile on my day. I thanked our Heavenly Father for the beautiful sunny day, as i was stressed out that it might rain.
My bridesmaids and I got dressed at the venue and my mom joined us later the day just before i started getting done. Walking into the room, looking radiantly beautiful, made me teary eyed.
My most memorable moment of our wedding day must be the vows, Shannon totally blew my mind with the heart felt words which brought everyone to tears.
As sad moment for me was on the dance floor, our first dance. I could actually be still and then came to the cold realization that there will be no father and daughter dance for me, as Pops is up in heaven. It was a sad moment, but also a memorable one as my newly husband could console me in this heartbreaking time and make me feel loved.
We moved in together immediately after the wedding, leaving no time nor money for a honeymoon.
We are planning our honeymoon for 2018 during the month of June, my birthday month. Place.... still deciding. Maybe we will flip a coin on it.
When it comes to make-up, I am not very extravagant, I am simple and left everything in the capable hands of my talented talented make-up artist, Qaanita from OnQmakeup. Because I don't wear lipstick she done a dramatic yet elegant eye and a more natural lip.
My dress designed by Casey Jeanne, Leana gown. Its not your ordinary wedding dress, which i loved about it and it have pockets!
Because Shannon and I are the same height, i had to go with pumps, Aldo's of course. Blush pink with little diamante's.
I got married in Wellington, Bakenhof Winelands. Most our guests were from Johannesburg, and they all booked in at the beach, a drive, but they planned drivers.
Crowned as one of the “Top 10 Wedding Venues in the Winelands”, this glamorous glass venue offers unbeatable value and magnificent views
