I woke up knowing that it would be the most beautiful day of my life, I got to marry my best friend. Things went on as planned and on schedule, until it was time to leave to the ceremony ... something had to go wrong ... my now Husband overlooked the Pastor and delayed the whole wedding for 30minutes, we had a great laugh, absolutely blessed with the best!
We went on a unplanned road trip down the Western Coast, it was decided that accommodation & activities would be booked as we go. This worked beautifully for us and we had the best time ever - 5400km's travelled in total, so worth it. The Cape is beautiful.
Everything I hoped it would be. My dress was made by a local designer in town and I loved it, my hair was done by a student studying in Sandton (Janika Engelbrecht) - she did well. Make-Up was done by Leonie Meintjes, a very close friend that lifts your spirit when you are in her presence (everyone needs that on their wedding day).
My jewellery was my something old from my Granny, my earrings - as that was the only 'bling' i could wear with my dress, my own antiques!
Ah, shoes ... DRAMA ... they didn't get delivered on time and i settled for the only pair of navy shoes i could find, they were from Green Cross and suprisingly very beautiful and comfortable!
We got married at Palm Haven Lodge in Louis Trichardt - Limpopo.
This was never a wedding venue, we decided to have our wedding there and they were thrilled, they immediatly started prepping the grounds to fit our needs. It turned out beautiful and they already have more weddings lined up. There were a few rooms we reserved for family and as for guests we suggested local guest houses nearby.
Who doesn't love being pampered, and now there was a reason for it.
I went for waxing & facials over a 2 month period and it was AMAZING..
