7 Years ago me and some girlfriends went to our local social spot. A new guy was in town and was hanging out with some of his colleagues whom was also part of my circle of friends. We caught a glimpse of each other and for a moment the world did not matter at all. Although we never spoke that night we couldn't keep our eyes of each other. I went home. He was my mystery man!
Weeks past when I one day got a facebook invite from him, Reinier Theron. We did not have the awkward conversations about who was from where. We made fun of each other in a flirtatious way. We didn't even exchange phone numbers.
He was working at Transnet and I was a student, working at the West Coast Mall during holidays to earn my spending money. He is a shopaholic and I was working as usual, when he walked past my shop. We found each other's eyes through the enormous glass window, we smiled and instantly fell in love.We both knew we wanted this, whatever it was.
All love stories has their sad beginnings, my parents were moving back to Cape Town, where I had to move with and Mr.perfect was living in Langebaan. The long distance was not suitable for both of us even though we never stopped loving each other. Both of us were looking for love in all the wrong places. We couldn't find it. I later moved back to the West Coast for a new employment opportunity. On a warm Saturday morning in 2016 I got a text from an unknown number asking me how I was doing? I WAS DOING FANTASTIC!!! It was him. He learned that I was living close to him and we could meet and catch up on old times. Since then we have never looked back.

I was about to go to a meeting when he asked me to quickly go to the mall with him to buy our weekly groceries, keep in mind The West Coast Mall. We walked past the shop, where we first saw each other again, 7 years ago. He asked me to go inside and look at him from the inside and smile so that we could have that same moment again. I seriously thought that he was making a joke. While he was standing outside, already on one knee, I saw one of his friends and we started to chat, not knowing he asked her and her husband to take videos of the proposal. He was waiting in the passage with people walking by and wondering what this person was doing with a ring in his hand. I was standing with my back facing him, making him more nervous. I saw the tension on her face and I just had to turn around to find my man on the ground at "our shop" spilling his heart out. We had a great audience of shoppers applauding when I jumped into his arms screaming YES! SO CRAZY IN LOVE!
