The moment I realised this was not a dream, was those final seconds before the curtains opened and my dad walked me down the aisle. I cried real tears of pure joy and overwhelming gratitude.
My God has been gracious unto us.
As we read out our vows my heart skipped beats with love, though my vows were much longer than his, they were the words of heart.
My dance with my father, grandfather and brother are small moments i will always treasure.
The way my groom looked at me all day and our stolen kisses at random moments.
We left the day after the wedding for Mauritius. We stayed at the four star Ravenala resort - which was absolutely spectacular.
We were blessed that our package we bought, got upgraded.
After Mauritius we headed to Suncity and continued our honeymoon there.
I wanted to look elegant and timeless, so what's more timeless than a classic Chignon up-do and subtle pin-up girl make-up.
My dress, was a custom made mermaid gown with intricate beading detail on the top and a built - in corset which I had bought from Eurobride.
I had three pair of shoes - ( I have a shoe fettish) - a regal, baby blue stilleto, a Navy peep-toe sandal for my second outfit and a gold wedged pump for comfort.
Jewellery - I kept it simple because my dress is quite busy. Diamante chandelier earings and a pearl bracelet my fiance bought me for my 21st birthday.

I didn't gym as much as I would liked to, but as a couple we agreed to not put unnecessary pressure on ourselves or eachother building up to our big day. My brother is a personal trainer so from time to time he weighed me and guided me whenever I felt like a workout.
I wanted to fill my dress and look natural, I don't have a super flat tummy or very toned arms and I'm happy with that.
I grew my hair for two years and made sure not to chemicaly treat it in any way. I only dyed my hair the day before the wedding.
I don't have problem skin so I didn't bother with treatments and as for my teeth, I just did my normal brushing and flossing regime.
I didn't do anything special but rather allowed myself to eat what I wanted in moderation, gym when I liked and slept when I could.
Beauty regimes were the last thing I wanted to stress about.
We kept everything simple and made use of the venues natural beauty.
Our decor and draping was done by the venues partner, Events inspirations.
Avianto did everything we needed regarding setting up and truly speaking they did an amazing job together.
Our Dj did our music and dance floor lighting, he added a special touch to a perfect day with his lighting effects on the dance floor.
Our colour scheme was white navy and gold we carried these colours throughout our decor design. We alternated table settings and made use of gold candelabras, navy runners, crystal coasters.
Our flowers were white king proteas, white roses and blue pennygum.
Events inspirations captured our taste effortlessly.

My groom chose to wear a navy Suit with suspenders and a classic white shirt with a bespoke bowtie and a tan Crocket and Jones shoe.
He was groomed by Sorbet man and looked absolutely dashing.
He too didn't have groomsmen but our dad's and brothers, had purchased their suits from eurosuit.
We bought his ring from Unbreakable Man, I had it engraved with a special message.
