I was surprised with an amazing couple of days in the Tsitsikama forest in a tree house.
My inspiration for my wedding was grecian, forest, natural.
Hair: Side briad with leaf hair piece done by my cousin and mother.
Make up: Very natural done by my maid of honour.
Dress: Princess style ball gown with beading bought from ever after bridal designed by Maggie Soterro
We got married in the picturesque winelands on a family farm. Skilpadvlei
I started eating healthy and exercising 6 months before my big day. Drinking water and the adjustment to my diet took care of my skin and my trusted beautician and maid of honour helped with the sun tanned skin in the middle of winter.
Flowers and decor was done beautifully by my aunt ( an events planner).
We also used Cape Tents for a Bedouin tent, as we had an outside ceremony.
Cape Tents is a small but dynamic Bedouin tent rental company located in the northern suburbs of Cape Town
Groom and Bestman: Brothers. They wore white shirts and cream pants bought from Old Khaki
Bridesmaids dresses: Very risky doing an online order. Dresses fit perfectly. Fitted lace blue mermaid dresses
We had the privilage of being married by Andries Cilliers
Photographer: We had the amazing Elana van Zyl capture our day. We had our own photobooth set up with props
We did not make use of a planner. we did all the planning ourselves
We did not have transport to the venue seeing as our rooms were just outside the ceremony area where we could walk
Food was prepared by the venue, Skilpadvlei.
Cake was beautifully made by a friend.
All stationary was designed and printed by me (bride)
We did not take dance lessons.
We hired our friends from Catwalk Stellenbosch as DJ and they also supplied the lighting.
