I met my shy husband at the age of 21, it was friends at first sight (for 2 year)
we were at a braai - souvla braai might I add. I stole his number from a mutual friend and it started via whatsapp with funny pictures and videos, we then found ourselves talking almost everyday until all hours.
We met up here and there we were each others support all the time.
One day 2 years after this wonderful friendship - and seeing all those shows on mtv about the friendzone - lol
I took the initiative and told him if he wanted to ask me it it was OK..... he did.
We moved in together 4 months later and are happily married 3 years later.
I feel the whole day was memorable, I don,t think I would change anything about the day, i tried to keep it as close to my Cypriot and husbands Greek roots as possible by doing the Greek orthodox service as well as the blessing of the bed- which happened the Wednesday before the wedding and the blessing of the bride- that was defiantly a high light of the day for me! The moment I saw my husband too (I just went gagaaaa)
I went for the classic princess chic let's call it, the soft curls the ball gown and that glammed out face, because my dress was jewled I wore minimal jewlery - just earings.

Our church was the Greek orthodox church of st John's in germiston- a church close to us as both my husband and I grew up going to that church.
Our venue was at emperors palace convention centre can't say I regret that venue at all!
I worked out at Curves boksburg almost every day In preparation for the day I was trained by Tanya and Simone, I still do as it's a great gym! It was also a great stress reliever during the wedding prep! I would defiantly suggest to any bride to be to start at a curves gym- curves a day keeps the stress away!
Sam at too spoilt boksburg helped me get that bridal glow with chemical peels and facials as well as sun bed!
I also tried my best to look after my hair I have fox and Davidson in bedfordview to thank for that and for getting my colour perfect as well as quick grow sa ◇♡
Let's call it Gatsby inspired wedding chic, red flowers feathers being the main centre piece, black gold and red were our choice of colour, we went different but kept it elegant.
My husband wore a Viyella suit and he looked like prince charming, we got the suit from Hydes eastrand mall! he wore a light gold tie to match the theme and our handsome groomsman wore black suits and red ties to match with the bridesmaids bouquets.
Our gorgeous bridesmaids wore gold Grecian inspired dresses made by my mother in law.

My wedding planner handmade almost everything.
No dance lessons were taken, we did the normal bounce for the party and away for the first dance. (Kept it traditional lol)
My Dj Alexi Kotsis did my sound and lighting I had a live Greek singer Mihali and boy did these 2 bring so much life to the party!
100% sure everyone had a good time.
