Driving toward the venue I felt so calm but as I saw everyone sitting and my then soon to be husband waiting with his groomsmen I began to have butterflies. I remember being so nervous to have our first dance (as we only practised three times the week before), but as soon as he music started and we began to dance everything worked itself out. Throwing the bouquet and having my best friend catch it :)
We drove through the garden route to Cape Town. Spent an amazing week there touring and exploring the town and all its history. On the way back home we stayed over in Plettenberg in a lovely guest house.
We got married at the warm and romantic venue, Thatchwoods.
All the flowers were bought from J&A floral. My gran made all our bouquets and bridal table bouquet. All the decor was provided by the venue.
The groomsmen wore tuxedo's and the groom wore a suit. They hired everything from Hire Society.
All my bridesmaids wore long dark purple dresses bought from Lea fashion.
We made use of Kiekielief (Carla van Dyk). She gave us such amazing photos with such professional service. Our photo booth came from Amuse booth.
I planned the weeding on my own but with a big help from my family, friends and the venue owner of Thatchwoods, who all guided me to make my special day even more special.

The venue managed all the catering. My wedding cake and cupcakes were made by my friends very talented mom, who runs The Cake Ali.
