We met on facebook. I added him on facebook with the intention of being friends and after the second day of seeing each other he kissed me and my world just spinned around. I was on cloud nine from then. And its 5 years later and it still feels like i'm on cloud nine.
We went to Dullstroom for the weekend for our 4 year anniversary. I knew that we are going away but never knew that he is going to pop the question. He planned a romantic dinner on a balcony with the most incredible view of the mountains. We got a 3 course meal by candlelight. The only thing that went through my mind was I have pull up my socks for our 5 year anniversary because how am I going to beat this. Before dessert he told me that he wants to ask me something.... and I was thinking well.you better ask quickly because this dessert is screaming my name. Then he started by saying that he loves me and that he simply can't imagine his life without me and then he went down on his knee and asked me to be his wife. I shouted ,screamed, cried and laughed all at once and somewhere between all the emotion I answered yes.
As usual the bride always needs to be late. My Dad and I drove together to the venue so we shared a few emotional moments on our way to the venue. When I saw my soon fo be husband I simply couldn't wait to say "I do". During the ceremony I couldn't believe that I'm going to get married to the man of my dreams. When we got out of the chapel , the way my husband looked at me, I will never forget that look. He looked amazed at me , like he couldn't believe that I'm is wife. We celebrated the whole day and I just couldn't let go of my husband. Our first dance was incredible, the first dance of many more to come. Our wedding day was an amazing day , it was the best day of our lifes , but its just the begining of what's still to come.
Yes we went to Zanzibar for a week
Elegant and sophisticated.
Flowers was paper flowers that my mom and I personally made. The decor and all the rest was more of a rustic look and theme. There was alot of candles with the more earthy bush vibe. I wanted to still keep everything as natural as possible and I didn't want to take it away with decor and other things
We didn't have groomsmen. But my husband bought a suite from eurosuite in Parkview mall in morletapark. He had a navy suite with mint combined.
We didn't have bridesmaids
