I'm a teacher and I'm also studying part time through UNISA.
I play ringball for fun and like to be active and adventerous.
I'm very close with my family and friends.
Our journey to the big day...
Our love story began not too long ago. We met in August 2016, got engaged March 2017 and married July 2017.
We met through my best friend who was dating my husbands best friend. We went on a blind double date where we went bowling.
Even though things happened quickly, there's important things to tell, so here it goes...
About a month after we met, God showed Johan (my husband) that I'm the woman he's suppose to marry. I obviously didn't want to hear anything about marriage yet, so I said we must take things slow. As the time passed my heart grew fonder and fonder of him and I also got my confirmation from God that I'm suppose to marry him.
We started to talk about marriage more and more and then in March Johan asked the big question.
Around the same time God laid on our hearts that we should stop kissing. We listened and we didn't kiss for the four months till we got married. Sounds challenging right?
Even though it was a challenge, we wanted to put God first in everything, so we accepted the challenge from God. It was worth it bacause God blessed our wedding so much... more than we could ever imagine.
The day felt perfect and we all enjoyed it a lot, it's definitely a day that I never want to forget.
Our put put proposal...
I've asked Johan a few times to go play adventerous put put, so when he said we're going to play put put I didn't get suspicious.
While we were playing he put the ring in a whole whithout me realizing, so when I hit my ball in the whole I saw the ringbox.
He went on one knee and asked the big question. He was very calm and it was really sweet.
It was very romantic and I was very happy with how everything turned out.
I'm a bit of a planner, so everything was quite organised. One thing that was out of my hands was Johan's speech and was I surprised...
He wrote a song for me and sang it as part of his speech.
The song was about how he sees me, it wasn't cheesy at all because we both don't like being cheesy but it was definitely one of my favourite moments.
We went to Mauritius for honeymoon for one week.
We got married at Zakopane in Brits. It's truly such a beautiful place and I will recommend it to anyone.
There were chalets for the guests which was fully booked and a big breakfast on the sunday for everyone that slept over.
We used Marizelles photography as our photographers. They did a really good job and captured all those special moments you never want to forget. The photographers had a very nice photobooth for all the guests to enjoy.
