She was fit
And he was tall
When they played sports
He felt small
He liked netflix
She liked naps
He liked to surf
She liked snacks
He was neat
She was not
He worried about germs
She had forgot
They shared a dog
With little white socks
He kept his things
In many a black box
She moved in
He was glad
She left for Aus
And he was sad
She returned
Their hearts, grown fonder
Time together
Grew this bond stronger
He muddied his knee
On a mountain path
She turned around
And took a gasp
He was kneeling
With ring in hand
She smiled a smile
As she thought it grand
One fateful evening, when our worlds, which were strangely near, came together. As serendipity would have it, we would meet again, two weeks later, after first laying eyes on each other. I was drawn to Grant's outgoing personality and the more we chatted together, the more we wanted to chatted to each other. One thing led to the next, and now I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend!
Grant propsed in the Drakensberg spontaneously while we were on a walk in the mountains. A light thunderstorm came over us and I started to run, Grant called out to me and when I turned around he was kneeling, ring in hand and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.
The whole day was just the incredible! Getting ready with the girls, walking down the aisle with my dad, saying "I do", our first dance and lastly being able to celebrate with all our favorite people!
We went to relax in the beautiful mountains of the Drakensberg at Champagne Castle, a perfect way to recover from the many months of planning and preparation.
Natural and elegant; an up style hairdo, minimal make up, dressed up in the most magnificent lace dress.
We got married at the most amazing venue: Bellwood Stud Farm in the Midlands. The best thing about this venue is that it has accommodation, so 60 of our family and friends, partied with us for a whole weekend.
I played SA Hockey up until February 2017, so I was fairly fit, other than that I just tried my best to keep a fairly healthy diet.
White roses, Ivy, Penny gum, a big fire place, fairy lights, romance, dance floor, party animals, good music.
Grant looked gorgeous in his blue bow tie and suit and the groomsmen cleaned up pretty well themselves, in their dark grey suits all from suit yourself in Durban North.
My girls wore a long lacey baby blue dress from Hoiden Bridesmaids Dress Range. They looked hot and dangerous.
Grants Cousin, Graham Lewis, flew all the way from Germany to do our service, and he was fantastic. It was so special to have a family member marry us.
Britt Tuhi, was my Maid of Honor and my photographer! She is the most talented human I know, she can capture a moment like no other! Check out Tuhi Photography. Grant's best man Mike also hooked us up with the most amazing photo booth which was such a nice edition!
My mom was my Wedding Planner, she was absolutely incredible! She worked so hard to make our day so special.
We arrived at our reception on a tractor as Mr and Mrs Lewis.
Big Red Design Agency; Anthony Kirkwood, a very good friend of ours, spoilt us with such stunning signage, menus and labels. What a champion!
We went for dance lessons and we rocked our first dance, or so we like to think. Thanks to Tess Tjasink and Adam Dore, two incredible dancers and very close friends, for teaching us the best moves. We had a great DJ and live music; my cousin Max Koenig, Jodi Koenig and Emily Koenig, all performed on our Wedding Day.
