Yes we went on honeymoon in Cape Town. We were blessed to have stayed in two different location in small very romantic cottages. The first was in Robertson and the second cottage was in Grootbrak. Both very romantic and very private but still located close to other amenities.
We got married in Dullstroom at The Silver Sixpence. The most beautiful wedding at my dream venue. I could not have asked for a better day. We had the closest family and bridesmaids and groomsmen stay at the venue which accommodate 32 people. The next morning we met everyone again for breakfast at the well known Milly's down the street.
I did not really have a beauty regime but there are a few things that I did which made a big difference. I drank alot of water which gave me a flawless skin on the wedding day. But the best advice is to have a glass of wine every night to keep the nerve away :-D.
The wedding decor was very plain and simple colours. It was maroon and navy which went perfectly for the winter wedding theme. It was also colours that fitted perfectly to the forrest that we got married in. The dark green of the forrest complimented the colour schemes.
We also had a theme that is something my husband and I love. The theme was wine which we pulled through from the table seatings to the decor on the tables. We chose our favourite wine farms and named each table after it. It also worked very well with the colour theme of navy and maroon.
The bridesmaids wore Hoiden dresses that was specifically made for each of them. The colour I chose which was part of the colour scheme for the wedding and suited their skin tones perfectly.
Our Photographer was Hendrik Botha from Frank Hayes Photography. He is a very good photographer and knows what he is doing. Our videographer was Johan and his wife Lardine from the Wedding Videographer.
