I always wanted a winter wedding, and that is exactly what we got...stormy, windy, rainy and very cold. Rain brings blessings, so we are super blessed with all the rain we got. Apart from that, one of my favourite moments is the first time I saw my hubby-to-be at the end of the isle. He looked so handsome and I just couldn’t wait to reach him. Other special moments were: my dad walking me down the isle, having 7 grandparents at our wedding, having all our family and friends there and just everyone enjoying themselves.
Yes, we went on honeymoon 3 days after the wedding. We went to Thailand. We had loads of fun, and loads of rain...again - BLESSED.
I went for a classic winter look. With long lace sleeves, high neckline and a beaded belt to finish off this stylish look. The amazing Janita Toerien designed and made my dress. My hair also a classic updo with dramatic eyes and bold red lips. My hair and make-up was done by the very talented Cecilia Fourie. My jewellery I kept minimilistic...just some beautiful Swarovski earings I received as a gift from my mother-in-law

We got married in Moorreesburg at Die Stoor. Our guests stayed all over this lovely little town.

The venue is an old barn that’s transformed into a venue. We did an Italian Inspired wedding. Only greenery on the table with some gold candle stands and chairs, and marsala napkins for some warm colours. Only the bridal table had a bold look with greenery and marsala colour flowers. Hanging gardens of greenery was also hanging above the tables. A mixture of naked bulbs and fairy lights was hanging over the dance floor. There were also lounges for guests to enjoy the canapés.

My husband looked very handsome in his serenity blue Trenery blazer with navy pants and a navy tie. Groomsmen wore their own navy suits with a floral print tie.
My Bridesmaids all looked beautiful in a plain marsala long dress, each with the same colour faux furr shawl for a warm an stylish look

Because we had such a “storm” on our wedding day, we weren’t able to capture our couple session. Both of these service providers (including the make-up artist) agreed to schedule another date for our couple photos. How amazing are they?! We will forever be grateful. The photos were then taken at the beautiful Langverwacht.
Yes, Wilinda Hanekom were hands-on with everything at the venue. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. She did everything from the table setting and flowers, to the delicious food that was served. She also did an excellent job with everything.
We had the cutest little red car that was arranged by Wilinda. I drove in this kar to the reception. Unfortunately it was the only time we made use of the car, because of the weather. At least we got a few pics with it.
Wilinda Hanekom prepared our delicious food. Everyone gave lots of compliments about the food.

The party was AMAZING. We had the best music in my opinion. We had a DJ as well as an entertainer to mix it up with some live music. DJ Wico and Ivan van der Merwe made sure that the dancefloor kept busy.
