The day was filled with highlights and memorable moments!
I was blessed to have all my favourite people with me on the day. My Mom, Laetia - my Maid of Honour and my bridesmaids. I wouldn't spend the day with anyone else or have anyone else help me with getting ready, laughing and nerves.
The most memorable was definitely walking into the chapel and seeing my husband!
We were fortunate enough to have an incredible honeymoon! We toured through Europe.
We left from Johannesburg to London - from there we traveled to Paris, Switzerland, Italy - including the Tuscan Region, Rome and Venice, Germany, Amsterdam, Belgium and back to London for a couple of days.
My dream look was - "vintage with a twist"!
Using my mom's old wedding dress in my own creation was a dream of mine since I can remember. And my dreams became a reality! My designer designed my fairy tale dress by using my mom's almost 34-year old pleated dress to create my own "vintage with a twist" dress. My dress was even better than what I could ever have dreamt of.
My MUA and Hairstylist ensured that she blended the look with my whole dream - once again - vintage with a twist.
I am definitely not a high-heels person - and chose my wedding shoes to match with those of my MoH and Bridesmaids - we all wore the same shoes.
We got married the most beautiful venue - Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel - in Centurion. Theunie - our wedding co-ordinator from the venue ensured that every detail of our wedding was beyond perfect and stunning.

I ensured that I drank a lot of water!
I was spoiled by my mom and we went to Kievitskroon Spa for a spa day - 2 days before the big day!
The chapel as well as all the reception areas were decorated with white bird cages, fairy lights, lots of candles, greenery, fine white flowers and silver - perfect for a late afternoon winter wedding. The evening reception also had a fireplace to chase the cold of the winter away.
We decided on Light Grey suits and light blue shirts. The groom wore a light grey suit with a white shirt. We bought leather bow ties from Eden & Co.
To go with the vintage look of my wedding - I decided on a very light, dirty pink dress from YDE. I wanted each bridesmaid's individual style to shine through - they could choose their own jewelry, hairstyle etc. I think they all looked amazing!
I discovered - Francois from Faded Edges Photography on Facebook and fell in love with his photos. I loved the different photos that he took and immediately booked him for our big day.
We had a photo booth included with the package we booked.
The Venue - Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel - was responsible for our delectable menu.
We order Macaroons from Nicole's Macarons for our wedding cake.
