Waking up the morning of our big day, i was so excited. It was a crisp and fresh winter's morning with sunshine. Of course, last minute errands needed to be done, while getting ready doing hair and make up, and with a few hiccups along the way....we said "I do". Everything went according to plan.
Our biggest highlight of the big day was just focussing on each other. Although so many things could have gone wrong, we still had the best wedding day ever!! We even needed to change our location for photography since the weather changed to unbearable.
But even with electricity going out, that didnt get us down. We had quite a festive evening and our guests had an enjoyable evening. We believe that our union will be blessed for a long time to come since we made it through.
Since im a foundation phase teacher in Uitenhage, we only got to take a short honeymoon in Jefferys bayafter the wedding, free accomodation as a gift from friends.
We are grateful for the special momemts we got to spend together. We both love nature and being at the beach.
Since we are both traditional, we got married in our own church in Uitenhage and the reception followed soon after at the Uitenhage Golf Club. Wouldnt believe that the weather was so bad looking at the most beautiful photographs we got to take that day.
My husband and i are both simple people. I am a farm girl, but still wanted a traditional wedding. We decided to go for an almost rustic feel, going for dusty pink and white as a theme, accompanied by proteas and succulents as decoration.
