Lets just start by saying what everyone was thinking, it goes by so fast. All that planning and wanting perfection... I must say the moment that stand out for me, was the moment he saw me. It is the moment we both had built up in our mind and hearts for so long. Yes, he did cry! I know some was wondering. No it is not like the movies, but somehow it is better. I think cause its our story we write together. Most men are not into all the mooshy love stuff, that day the men change. Like for some reason they are just in a love bubble. Some advise for new brides. Take a minute and let it all in. Try to take note of all the small stuff, smiles from friends and family and lastly the way your husband looks at you!
Now for the fun part! Honeymoon!!!! We jumped on a plane the day after the wedding and we were off to Thailand. There is nothing as fun and challenging as to go to another country as a newly weds. We had so much fun together. The part that put us to the test, was the scooter we hired. We did not have Google Maps and had to find our way. Needless to say, we did not agree on which road to take. Was the best test as newly weds to learn to trust each other and explore together.
Let me call it what it was... Budget Bride Look. My makeup was done by a professional makeup artist who use to do makeup for television. Where does the budget come in? She is one of my friends, got it as a wedding gift. Same goes for my hair. Take note: It is not what you know, but who you know. For the lingerie part, it was all Batman. From my garter to my "spanky pants". The wedding gown was a corset top with the fluffiest dress made from silk. I had to make getting dressed fun. I did spend the whole morning in a Batman onezi before getting dressed, i must add.
