We met each other on a blind date at Die Blou Hond restaurant during a performance by the band Touch of Class.
Johan took me for a picnic and wine tasting at our prospective wedding venue and proposed out of the blue under the trees. He carried the ring with him in his camera bag pretending to take pictures of the venue.
The highlight of our wedding was the band, Touch of Class singing at the chapel and performing at the reception. One of the best moments was when I walked into the chapel and seeing my future husband, our children, parents and all the guest who had travelled to join our big day.
We went to Europe to almost a month and visited beautiful countries like France, Italy, Spain, Greece and Croatia
Our wedding was very stylish and formal. I had my dress designed by Simon Rademan and we bought some exquisite lace during a photography trip in Vietnam. Hair and make-up were done by our personal stylists. My pearl bracelet was a gift from my husband for Mother's Day
We had a destination wedding at Zorgvliet Wine Estate, Stellenbosch and because our wedding was on a public holiday we booked our guests for the whole week-end. The evening before the wedding we had an informal braai at the venue for everyone to get to know each other.
