Well it really is a funny story...he really was my favorite Engineer at the company we both worked for at the time, when he visited the branch I had worked at - I was suddenly real thirsty and made frequent visit to the water machine to catch a glimpse. Only months after I left the company, and some encouragement from a colleague did he finally make the call to ask me on a date, after that he never left and I never wanted him to either.
Month of secret planning took us trip to the Drakensberg. I had the worst cold in the world but talks of us not going on this hike up to the Sphinx was unheard of, the way up was great fun, climbing up onto the Sphinx was not so much fun (well not for me at least) - the wind did have me down from there quicker than I made it up and the adrenaline from the fright had me running to get down the mountain - Jan-Albert calming me down had me walk back up to 'take a picture' - were he proposed like the true gentleman he is, on one knee - nerves all over! I did ask him if he is real sure he wanted to marry ME on the way down just to make sure all this is REAL! Fairy-tales do come true, it did that day and the best is yet to come!
What a perfect day, perfect weather - filled with love and family, what more could we ask for. Everything that filled this day with perfection was and will always be such a blessing.
Another surprise awaited me, my husband planned it all, every detail to perfection! Travelling from Pretoria to Kagga Kamma to Lamberts Bay to Hermanus to Knysna - South Africa is BEAUTIFUL!
