Our wedding was the most wonderful family affair. From our wedding to our catering all was in some way family involved. Our wedding venue was the family garden in Sandton. The ceremony and reception was all based in and around a gorgeous old tree already blushing with autumn colors all forming part of our rustic vintage theme. Our decor was very much rustic and vintage using old wine bottles as candle holders placed upon wood slices to form a cohesive part of the garden around us. With my father, Lucas Maree, having passed away we felt that the best way to incorporate him into our wedding was by adding his song lyrics onto the wine bottle candle holders making his words just like he was in persona the light of our day and lives.
I had the most wonderful privilege to have my father's best friend and colleague, Coenie de Villiers give me away along with my mother on the big day. All in all every facet of the day was intimate, personal and above all filled with unmeasurable joy and love
