Our wedding was very intimate. Most ladies would have classified it as a disaster as the weather on this day was absolutely terrible. It was cold, pouring and extremely windy. The ceremony was planned for outside but luckily the hotel was able to do a fabulous job moving everything inside which left me stress free. However many cultures view rainy weather as a blessing and that is exactly what I believed it to be. Due to photos and make up of the bridal party getting ready being a bit delayed I never realised that I was running late, this only occurred to me when my father came and knocked on my door with a very worried expression and hoarse voice wanting to know if I am still okay. I prayed for a good man from a very young age as my parents got divorced and this makes you question certain realities. I met my husband ten years ago at the age of 15 and finally on this day I got to say I do and I will love you always to my good man, my blessing from God to spend my life with. Best of all to top off this fab weekend as we were about to leave one of the ladies came running out with my wedding dress, lol.
So amazing and would definitely visit again!!! Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve.
Oh my gosh did I struggle to find a dress!!! I finally found the perfect dress at YDE. The theme of the wedding was rustic. I wore cowboy boots with my dress to suit the theme and I can also add that it looked amazing and was super comfortable throughout the night. Hair was curled and taken to the side. Make up was natural but dramatic. I was so stoked to have found gold en wood jewellery!! Lol lingerie was the weirdest to get used to as the top of my dress was lace only and wearing a totally strapless bra did not feel very supportive ;}. The best of all was that I bought all things seperately and wore them together for the first time on the day. Lucky me it looked fabulous!!
Our wedding took place at the Oribi Gorge Hotel. Most of our guests stayed the night. Their service was great and the food absolutely to die for!!
Joined a gym about 5 months before, this made a major difference in my confidence.
Furniture all supplied by the venue. Decor and flowers all put together by family. The theme was rustic with peach as the primary color. Words do not do it justice. The decor included a lot of hessian and woods.
We looked all over and added the bits and pieces together on the day.
My one and only bridesmaid and best friend wore a stunning peach colored dress.
Our pastor Andy Ducasse.
It was a difficult day to capture as the weather did not allow a lot of exploring. Gillian from You and Me was extraordinary and so lively, there was never a moment that I could possibly fit in any worry. A few months down the line we finally managed profile photos and she still had the same spark as she had on the wedding day.
Yes you can call my planner Pintrest!! All planning was done by myself and the help of family.
I got dressed at the hotel so I was my own transport.
We bought bits and pieces every where and put it together. Invites were done electronically via the Wedivite app. The use of the app really made keeping track of guests so much easier
My very talented brother assisted with all of the lighting and music affairs.
