Through all the tears and nerves...seeing him walk through the door into a room filled with everyone closest to us and place that ring on my finger made it the most memorable part of my day.
Having a small wedding and not being able to afford a big fancy honeymoon my husband took me to one of our my favorite places.....Montague Springs
A traditional Muslim Wedding ...stylish but sophisticated. I opted for a traditional scarf with a beaded head piece and veil. My wedding dress was stylish and suited for a winters day. Not your traditional wedding dress. The color was ivory, long and slightly flowing at the back with the look of a 2 in one gown. A dress from the front and a coat which flowed into a train at the back. Shoes was something old but comfortable to take me through the long day that I endured - A low silver Wedge with slight detail. My outfit was complete with dainty earrings, a silver diamante choker and matching bracelet.
The complete wedding ceremony including the Nikkah, Photos and reception took place in Strand, Western Cape.
I didn't have a the pleasure of a spa treatment, but had my nails done along with a facial. That was followed by the Mendhi ( which is the painting of my hands the night before the wedding) a nice long bubble bath and lots of beauty sleep.
A small hall in Strand hosted my reception.... we had about 50 guest. the hall was decorated in Silver and Coral. from silver curtains at the entrance of the door to coral and ivory flowers, silver backdrops with fairy lights and coral drapes on the "stage" where we were seated to silver beaded stands along side the red carpet that we walked in on. Simple but elegant .....
For the 1st part of the wedding Hubby wore a ivory salah top with a whit fez to mosque. He then changed into a ivory suite, with a silver waist coat and black shoes....Very sexy
As the wedding was small I had no bridesmaids.

My Photographer was Reubin Lewis accompanied by one of his colleagues Gaynor.... They are both brilliant photographers who made the day as easy as possible by making us feel comfortable in everyway. We however did not have a wedding videographer and no photo booth.
No wedding planner..... we just went with the flow and the wind that was blowing on that day lol.
A black BMW drove us for the day....smooth drive and friendly chauffeur.
The food as well as the décor in the hall was prepared by Gadieja Patel Allie from Sandvlei Somerset West
Invites and Thank you cards was handled by Merri Pak in Pinelands
