Pont De Val Riverside Escape
It was an hour out of Johannesburg, so most of our guests stayed over for the night / weekend.
I own a decor and floral styling company, so lucky me, my amazing team helped out with the set up for the wedding.
The venue has a rustic french riverside feel with exposed brick walls, a vineyard and wine barrels. The waiters are dressed in french berets, bow ties and suspenders, and the cuisine is predominantly french. So we decided to embrace the french theme and kept the colours neutral to match the venue - we did greenery with imported white flowers (all of my favourites: peonies, tulips, roses and orchids) and a touch of gold. (Gold foiled personalised menus, gold rimmed glassware and gold candles). To add a slight modern touch we did clear acrylic ghost chairs and did the tables in 2 modern long rows with a rectangular shaped dance floor in the centre. Instead of installing a dance floor, we used the venues existing grey concrete floor and added a custom 7m x 3m vinyl artwork that was calligraphy lettering of french words and their translation marking out the entire dance floor.
