On a flight from Johannesburg to Durban.
Paul booked us into the Taj Hotel in Cape Town for the night. We were drinking bubbles and as I was taking a sip I saw the ring at the bottom of the glass.
I would definitely say when I flew in with the plane. No one knew we were getting married, so seeing everyone's faces made the day even more memorable.
We enjoyed an amazing holiday at the Sherpard Tree Lodge in Pilansberg.
I had my hair and makeup done by Candice Meershoek. I wanted a very natural yet elegant look. She literally took 45 min to finish my look.
We got married at the Stellenbosch airfield in a friend's hanger.
Plenty of wine to calm the nerves
We drapped the whole hanger. We had lots of candles and short vases on the tables. I filled the vases with white rocks and pink proteas. We stuck to white and silver. A friend has a lighting company so he lit up all the planes parked outside. The hanger looked like a set on a Hollywood movie.
My husband wore a crisp white shirt with his favourite jeans.

I flew in with a small plane called a Jorra
My Italian friend made the most amazing three tier cake. We had a gourmet braai with all the traditional side dishes.
It did my own table tags
We rented a speaker, lights and microphone, the guests played all their favourite songs. There was never a dull moment
