Walking towards the garden and seeing all my guests waiting for me - priceless
Seeing him for the first time in his suit, and our first dance. His highlight was when I walked down the aisle.
We decided on a pre-honeymoon if there is anything like that. LOL. We spent a week in Mauritius before our wedding.
I went for a simple yet elegant look. I chose a mermaid lace dress, natural make-up, natural afro bridal hairstyle with a head piece, Rose gold heels. My dress was off white and no veil. Tear drop earrings from Lovisa.
We got married at Misty River, Eikenhof. South of Johannesburg. It is close to both our families so none of our guests stayed the night.
Lots of water!
All my decor was done by the venue. I asked for a vintage look with an elegant touch. For flowers i asked for roses and baby's breath. I hired white Phoenix chairs for the ceremony and reception.
They wore navy blue suits with white shirts, brown shoes and brown belts. The groom wore a bow tie and the groomsmen no ties. They all had baby`s breath buttonholes.
I saw the look on pinterest. They wore long, champaign dresses with lace on the bust and a tail.
Our marriage officer was Pastor Emmanuel Sequeira.
Our photographer/videographer was Mabokela Studios. They were amazing and did an excellent job! We couldn't have chosen a better photographer.
Yes, Elzeth Hoogenhout coordinated our day perfectly.
I didn't have any wedding transport.
Elzeth Hoogenhout from the venue prepared the food for the wedding and the cake was made by Maggy.
Nel from Africaido, Roodepoort did our stationery. He did a great job!
We planned to do a "step" but due to time constraints we ended up practicing only a day before the wedding. We didnt take any dance lessons for our first dance, we just ran with it. We had a DJ (DJ Hugo) who played all day long.
