Our family tradition is a holiday to Mozambique in December. This year was no different, however it was that much more special because my best friend Kim, whose birthday we had met at, was joining us on holiday this year, and Mike's parents were also joining us for the first time. My favourite number has always been 15, and so Mike wanted to ensure that he proposed to me in 2015.. he left to the final hours, however our New Years celebrations began with him down on one knee after our final sunset walk along the beach! It was magical
We decided to get married on the beach at Club Mykonos, Langebaan along the Western coast. Our dream wedding was always to be on the beach, with close family and friends. It was extremely windy and rainy in the days leading up to the wedding, however we woke up to the most glorious warm sunshine! It was so special to have all of our family and friends with us, especially since it was a destination wedding. We had guests travel from all of the world, New Zealand, America and England! It was a beautiful day in the most incredible setting.
Since we had family travel from so far, we decided to have a familymoon before our honeymoon. Our guests stayed at club Mykonos, and many stayed for the week leading up to and after the wedding. The day after the wedding my cousins arranged a catamaran for all of the family and friends for a sunset cruise. There were over 30 of us and it was such a celebration! The stress of the wedding was over and we got to spend quality time with those we love most! After that week Mike and I headed to Cape Town for a night, and then we spent a week in Knysna where we stayed in the honeymoon suite at the 5 star Alexander boutique hotel - what a treat! We explored Knysna, ate at the most divine restaurants, cocktails with a view of the heads, wine tasting and Mike even jumped off the bloukrans bridge!

The bridesmaids dresses were exquisite! They wore floral dresses from Turkey. They were perfect for the beach. They all wore soft curls in their hair and rose gold jewellery
