Myself and my husband met at his local squash club during a squash competition that we had both entered in. The competition started on the Monday and ended on Saturday. We caught each others eyes on the Monday and kept a look out for each other during the rest of the week. The first conversation we ever had was my husband on the squash court on the Monday evening asking who I was supporting, and to his surprise I said I would support him and 4 years later I am still supporting him.
My husband surprised me with a trip for 2 night stay and 5 massage treatments at Insingizi Lodge in the Midlands. On the first night during our delicious 3 course meal he bent down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together, to which I said yes before he could even finish his question. The following day we enjoyed our amazing massage treatments and relaxation through all the excitement.
For our wedding night we stayed somewhere close by, at a place called BnB by the Sea, in Salt Rock, North Coast, KZN. For the rest of our honeymoon we went to St. Lucia down the North Coast, and stayed at St. Lucia Safari lodge for 4 nights. We will definitely be going back there in the future for plenty more holidays.
We got married at the stunningly gorgeous Collisheen in Ballito, North Coast, KZN.
Our guests stayed at a church family friend's BnB called Villa Roc located in Salt Rock, North Coast, KZN.
Due to our venue being so beautiful already we didn't need to add to much decor, etc. However, we did hire a few decorations from Natural Nostalgia located in the Midlands, and we hired 6 lanterns that ran alongside the pews in the chapel, and 2 large birdcages, overflowing with flowers, that sat on the pillars at the alter.
Our flowers were supplied and beautifully designed by the local Ballito Wholesalers.
The draping and lighting was provided by the venue, Collisheen.
The groom wore a navy blue suit with dark grey suspenders and brown shoes. Whilst the groomsmen wore just the navy blue pants and grey suspenders and brown shoes. Their suit and suit pants came from the ever famous Edgars.
My bridesmaids wore a beautiful infinity designed dress from YDE, the young designer is known as 'Ruby Diamond' and was a salmon pink colour.
A very very close family friend of mine, Chad Roberts.
