I must be one of the luckiest Bride's I have ever known, I can actually say I don't think anything went wrong on our day, it was perfection.
All of our decor was done almost completely DIY, with the help of my incredible family and in-laws, who helped us set up the night before the big day. My sister baked me the most beautiful wedding cake I had ever seen, delaying her new job in Madagascar just to be there for me, and just to top it off, I had my future father-in-law sing me down the isle! I realized through this experience how incredibly blessed we are.
We were lucky to have our wedding at the beautiful Askari Game Lodge in Magaliesburg, where the Elephants gave us a magical send-off to our reception.
A typical South African day, we woke up to amazing sunshine with a cool breeze, walked down the isle and said our I do's, just to have a huge hail storm chase us into the reception venue. This must have been the most incredible blessing, as when the storm passed, two rainbows shone over the venue until sunset.
Every single vendor we hired on this day made our wedding unforgettable, my hairdresser, make up artist from Mac at Clearwater, who helped me out a week before the wedding date with no prior bookings, my photographer, and the DJ, I would recommend them to everyone.
All in all - My perfect South African Wedding, I wouldn't have changed a thing!
