Make-up in natural colours giving as much of a natural look as possible. Hair curled and taken backwards. Wedding dress ivory colour, A-style with top part embroided and lace shoulder straps. Shoes ivory colour, comfortable platform like sandel. Jewelery pearl necklace and pearl teardrop earings. Bouquet of dark red roses.
Ceremony at De Krans Wine Cellars, Calitzdorp followed by reception at the high school hall. Most guests stayed over at various guest houses and camping sites in and around town.
Nails done a few days before at salon. On the day of the wedding the bride's maids helped in pampering and preparing what was needed.
Made use of fairy lights draped from the roof and on the tables, candles on the tables, chandeliers with candles on the stage, used ivy for décor with green apples and grapes. Silver under-plates.
Groom wore a black suite, white shirt and wine red tie bought from Truworths and Woolworths. Groomsmen wore black pants, white shirts, black suspenders and custom made wine red bow ties. They had their own attire.
Wine red long chiffon dresses ordered on line.

Fölscher Photography. Tiaan Fölscher and his wife Lena took all the wedding pictures. They did a wonderful job, was never in the way and made everyone feel at ease and comfortable. No videographer or photo booth.

Food was prepared by Debbie Calitz. The wedding cake was made by Joy Apollis from "Cakes of Joy" - it was an ice-cream cake.

No dance lessons. Dance floor was opened by everyone and not just the bride and the groom on a "group dance" song. Sound was done by Fred Evard. No live band or DJ.
