We are both from the Western Cape, but our hearts met in Nelspruit. After years of friendship and me moving to Gauteng we fell in love. Our wedding took place on the 1st of April 2017 (hence fools for love) and it far exceeded all of our expectations. We got married at an old estates just outside of town called Bingelela with the most amazing views the Lowveld has to offer.
All our family and friends witness our love for each other and the vow's we made on that day to always love and respect each other.
I married my best friend!
Our story actually began about 6 years before we started dating. We use to be friends and we always had an eye for each other.
The proposal... I woke up on the morning of 8 April 2014 with a little note on my night stand with instructions to go to the hair dresser as a special treat from my friends. And after every appointment I would get a new note for my next appointment. Last stop was the local flower shop with the last note instructing me to meet my friends for lunch at Orange restaurant in town. After we ordered some drinks and food I got the sweetest plate of fulled with Rose and writing in pink "Will you marry me" and as I look down he was on one knee! Best surprise ever!
unfortunately we didn't go on honeymoon
I wanted my look to be a soft best natural look of me. I went for the simple is more effect with everything. We got married in our all stars as this was 100% us. We always want to do everything different. I wanted to have fun and be able to dance and interact with my guest.
We got married at the beautiful Bingelela Beds and Venue Center just outside of our stunning town. Our guest stayed over at the same venue.
The groom and groomsmen had stone shorts and white shirts with suspender belts from Identity and all stars of course
